A few days had passed since the incident with Snape and the Quidditch pitch and you were getting ready to serve another detention, this time however, it would take place in the forbidden forrest with a few other students. Filtch was the one who was going to lead you there byt when you saw him, you spotted a few familiar faces.
"Harry and Hermione? Why are you guys here?" You said in disbelief whilst ignoring Malfoy.
"We were roaming the castle at night." Harry said with annoyance.
"The great Hermione Granger, put on detention for being out at night, now this is entertaining." You chuckled as she blushed. Filch led the group to Hagrids hut, you hadnt really spoken to Hagrid much before but you knew he was nice and would keep you safe.
"You'll be serving detention with Hagrid tonight, he's got a little job to do, inside the dark forrest." Filtch said in his ghastly voice.
"A sorry lot this, Hagrid." He said, Hagrid didnt reply.
"Aw good God man, your not still going on about that bloody dragon are you?" Filch said while I was standing completely confused.
"Norberts gone. Dumbledore sent him of to Romania to live in a colony." Hagrid said in despair.
"Well thats good isnt it? He'll be with his own kind."
"Yeah but what he dont like Romania, What if the other dragons are mean to him? He's only a baby after all." Hagrid said.
"Oh for Gods sake pull yourself together man, your going into the forrest after all, got to have your wits about ya." Filch said sharply before Malfoy piped up.
"The forrest? I thought that was a joke, we cant go in there, students arent allowed, and there are werewolves."
"Scared Malfoy?" I said with a grin on my face as he just ignored me.
"Oh there more than werewolves in there lad, you can be sure of that... nighty night."
"right, lets go." Hagrid said before setting off. As you walked through the forrest you started to see why Malfoy was scared, the place just didnt seem... right. Hagrid showed us the univorn blood and explained what you were there to do.
"Harry and malfoy you'll come with me, and (y/n) and Hermione, you two can go together take fang with you." Said Hagrid. You, Hermione and Fang split from the rest of the group and looked around the forrest.
"So, Miss 'dont ruin your reputation' what were you doing up at night." You asked teasingly.
"Thats none of your business." She replied sternly.
"Well my two best friends Harry and Ron were imvolved, so i'd like to make it my business."
"Look, we were doing something for a good cause."
"Well that should make it easier to tell me." You smirked and she sighed.
"Hagrid owned a dragon and it became too much for him to handle and we decided to hand it over to rons older brother Charlie." She explained.
"Ok, but that cant have been the only reason you were out of bed at night."
"Well... me Harry and Ron got lost and came across a three headed dog." She said, there was a second of silence before you burst out laughing.
"You cant be serious!" You said wheezing
"Laugh all you want but we knoe what we saw, even ask Ron and Harry. AND there was something Fluffy was guarding."
"F-fluffy, you named it." You said barely able to contain your laughter.
"That was the name Hagrid had for it, anyway, it seemed to be guarding a trap-door and after days of endless research about Nicolas Flamel, we found out about the philosophers stone and how its in danger from Voldemort." Another moment of silence ensued
