The next morning rolled around and everyone was still asleep. It was six in the morning so I just laid there, occupied by my thoughts.

I couldn't stop thinking about last night when Hermione kissed my cheek. Why did it feel so good... I don't have a crush on her do I? I mean she is great, probably my best friend, she's smart, funny, caring and we seem to have this connection.

She also kinda pretty, I've thought that since first year. Actually she's extremely pretty, and cute now that I think about it properly. Maybe I do have a crush, it's probably just a temporary thing, not real feelings... I think.

When everyone woke up I walked down into the common room. Everyone was up getting ready for their next classes.

"Have you guy's seen Harry?" I asked Ron and Hermione. "No, check the dormitory." Ron replied. I walked up and saw Harry in his bed.

"There you are." I said. Harry shot up, he was covered in sweat. "Are you ok man?" I said looking at him in concern.

"It was Hagrid, y/n. Hagrid opened the Chamber of Secrets fifty years ago." He said quickly. I stood there shocked not knowing what to say. "You can't just make accusations like that Harry." I said slightly annoyed.

"No no no, I saw it, the diary showed me, it took me back and showed me." Of course this had something to do with that damn diary. "Lets talk to Hermione and Ron about this." I said leaving Harry alone to get dressed.

We always knew Hagrid had an unfortunate liking for large and monstrous creatures. Again and again Hermione made Harry recount what he had seen. I wasn't buying it though, it was probably just a dream.

"So the monster is a spider?" I asked causing Ron to whimper.

"Thats what I saw." Harry replied. "Honestly mate, I think this diary is driving you insane." I said, slightly chuckling.

"Maybe Riddle got the wrong person." Ron said timidly. "How many monsters do you think are in the school?" Harry said.

Ron just looked down at his feet. "We all know Hagrid was expelled from Hogwarts, the attacks must've stopped when Hagrid was expelled." Hermione piped up.

"Ugh, this Riddle sounds like a real Percy." I said in annoyance earning a small laugh from Ron. We all sat in silence. Contemplating everything. Maybe it was Hagrid, knowing him, he definatley wasn't intending to hurt anyone, but he doesn't seem to realise how dangerous a creature can be, I mean the man raised a damn dragon in a hut. Maybe Harry is right.

The Easter holidays had come around and everything was rather peaceful. No attacks since Justin and Nick. Things were calming down.

Us second years were tasked with choosing subjects for third year, a very important choice for our futures. Me and Hermione sat together in the common room figuring out what to choose.

"Divination seem interesting, oh, and muggle studies." She said excitedly, it was cute how hyped she was for these subjects.

"But you are a muggle, you know everything you need to know!" I laughed. "Yeah... but it would be interesting to see a wizards point of veiw." She chirped.

"Also, my Dad said divination was dreadful." I said. "I'm sure it's not that bad." Hermione replied hopefully.

"Care of magical creatures is an easy choice." I said confidently. Although I have had a few bad experiences with magical creatures like Norbert the dragon and Fluffy the three headed dog, the subject seemed really fun.

Harry and Ron just seemed to copy what I picked, but Hermione chose every single subject you could. I have no idea how they are gonna fit that in a timetable but oh well.
