Chapter 10: The tapeMonica Russell POV
After dancing song after song with my handsome boyfriend I went for some drinks for both of us, and something catch my eye.
I saw my best friend talking calmly and laughing her ass off with nothing more and nothing less then the one and only Sebastian Williams. Before going to the bar, I walked straight up to them with curiosity running through my veins.
"What's up" Sebastian asked nicely.
"Not much." I answered looking at them surprised
Bianca smiled and asked "Is is time for Jeremy's toast?"
"Probably, he always does it around twelve." I said
"Anyways Bianca, I will see you tomorrow." Sebastian said and walking away he added "Nice to see you Monica."
"I thought you disliked him!" I blurt, a little jealous at the fact, she could talk to one of the Williams brothers freely.
She rolled her eyes at me and said "Well, let's just say he is going to help me out with something."
"We are in good terms at the moment." She added
"I see." I blurt
"Anyways let's go dance." Bianca said as we made our way up to the dance floor.
As the clock hit twelve Jeremy was given a microphone and everyone had a glass of champagne.
He gave everyone a smile and proceed to say:
" WOW! I am so drunk I forgot what I was going to say! "
Everyone laughed as he chuckled and proceed to say
" Everyone please raise your glass. Tonight I want to toast for many things, family, friends, another year. For life itself and everything that comes along with it. Cheers for everything life gives us, laughter and tears.
Glorious moments and some really, really terrible moments. Cheers for those moments that even giving it all it wasn't enough! Cheers for those who wish to be us. Cheers for those pretty ladies who proclaim to love a man for money!" He cut himself of and started laughing his ass off."Someone take the microphone away from him." Bianca said, rolling her eyes.
"This is the worse fucking toast he has ever said" I murmured.
Jeremy always said amazing toast in his parties yet he wasn't as drunk as now.
Bianca walked her way up to being next to a laughing Jeremy who wrapped his arms around Bianca and kept saying "Cheers to Karla, I mean Karma. Who is a bitch to all of us."
Bianca pulled the microphone away from him and said "Excuse him, he is a little drunk tonight. You all know me and for those you don't my name is Bianca Aguilar. And tonight I will be reading the real toast Jeremy wanted to share with you guys."
Jeremy smiled and said "Fuck you really are a good friend."
Jeremy gave Bianca his phone, because he had written the real toast in his phone.
And so she read " Please raise your glasses one more time. Tonight I will be toasting for something we have all experienced, Karma. 'Karma is a bitch they say', I used to believe that as well. But at this very second ; I want to thank karma for teaching me a lesson. For making me do things I really hated , but specially for those terrible moments because right there I found who are my real friends and who are really there for me. If it wasn't for those bad moments, I wouldn't have learned what true friends are. So cheers for those who have seen us at our best and have seen us in our worst and don't know the difference. Cheers for those friends that no matter how lonely they are they still make you feel like we would never be left alone. Cheers for those who are always by your side pushing you to give your best! And for those who you simply can't escape from. I love you guys deeply! So here's to the night we will never remember with the friends we will never forget!"
