The Guy Next Door

So i have this hot neighbor...

Justin’s POV

          Wow. That was amazing. I can’t wait to see her tomorrow. I thought as I headed into my house. My mom looked at me weird as I came in the house smiling. “what are you so happy about?” she asked. Her. “Nothing?” I asked playing it cool. She gave me a questioning face and then told me to do the dishes. I walked into the kitchen and started but I couldn’t get Jade off my mind. That kiss was magical. Even though I haven’t known her that long, we definitely have a connection.

Jade’s POV

          I cleaned up the kitchen and went up to my room. I grabbed my phone and texted Ashley.

Me: OMG dude! Text me back ASAP

I said. Hopefully she texts back soon, I need to share my excitement with someone. Just one kiss and he already has me eager for more. I sit on my window sill and gaze out at the water, feeling so at peace. I was snapped out of my thoughts as I heard the front door open and slam shut. I go down to be greeted by a stressed father.

          “Hey dad, how was your first day?” I said. “Long.” He replied going to the kitchen. “Have you ate yet?” He yelled from the kitchen. “Yeah I just had a sandwich, I probably won’t eat until later.” “Ok” He said taking a beer out of the fridge. I gave him a concerned look. “What? I can have a few, I had a long day. I don’t see you working your ass off.” He said pointing a finger at me with a strict face. I didn’t say anything, I just rolled my eyes as I walked up to my room.

          I hope he doesn’t start again. Things get ugly when he gets drunk. Especially since mom left. I would think he would be happy that he didn’t have someone nagging him all the time, but I guess moving is hard on him as well. Suddenly I felt a vibrate on my bed and quickly jumped to look at my phone.

Ashley: What’s up???

Me: So I have this hot neighbor…..

Ashley: I like where this is going…. ;)

Me: Well we’ve hanging out every day since I got here and he came over today ;)

Ashley: OMG did you guys do it?! :O

Me: wtf NO it’s not like that, we just kissed but I think I really like him, he is so nice and a total babe

Ashley: AHH go you ;)

Me: I KNOW!

Ashley: So you’re over Matt?

Me: I mean he did cheat on me…

Ashley: yeah :/ you deserve a good guy

And with that I didn’t reply. I didn’t even want to think about him. I mean we dated for 6 months and then I catch him hooking up with someone at a party?! Like who does that? And was that the only time? Ugh it made me sick to even think I liked someone like that. He is the only thing I’m glad to leave behind. I let out a sigh of frustration and grabbed a book off my dresser and sat on my window sill as I felt relief watching the sun start to set.

Justin’s POV

          I finished up all my chores and went to my room. I sighed as I finally rested in my bed. I sat up and looked at the gorgeous sunset. I was so happy to live on the beach. It was the best view. I couldn’t help but think of another gorgeous view- Jade. I smiled just thinking about her and looked over at her house. I saw her sitting in her room looking out at the ocean. I wish we could be watching the sunset together.
