Did we just go one a date?

Jade’s POV

          As I continued unpacked most of what was left my dad didn’t say one word, which I was a little relieved about because he wasn’t in the best mood. I went back up to my room and started unpacking the rest of my clothes. “Jade!” I heard my dad yelling from downstairs. Oh great, I thought, what did he want? I opened my door and yelled back “Yeah?” “I’m going out to look for a job, we need money somehow” he yelled up to me. I’m surprised he hasn’t stopped to sit down all day. “I’ll be back with food when I’m done, hopefully won’t be too long” he said. “Ok”

          I continued hanging up my clothes as I heard him moving around downstairs trying to find his keys. Then he left as the door slammed behind him. I sighed, feeling hungry. I finished putting all my clothes away and then took the box down stairs with all the other empty boxes. I went to the kitchen to get a glass of water. I looked out the window to see Justin playing with his dog. Damn he’s still out there? I thought.

          I walked back upstairs and looked around my room, all finished with all my belongings- well the belongings I still had. I couldn’t help myself from being sad. I don’t know how long it would take to get used to this place. It just didn’t feel like home. I sat by the window and watched as Justin played fetch with his dog. He was so cute-I mean she…the dog.

          Oh what he hell, what else am I supposed to do? I think to myself. I go downstairs and go outside walking up behind Justin. “Hey” I say to him causing him to jump a little. “Sorry” I said realizing I had scared him. “Snuck up on me there” he said laughing. “So, wanna go get something to eat, I haven’t ate all day” I said. “Uh, sure, let me just put Bella in the house” he said running up his deck.

         

Justin’s POV

          Damn, I’m glad she came back to hangout, I wanna get to know her better. “Mom I’ll be back in a little bit” I said as she sat on the couch. “Where are you going?” She asked. “Out” She looked out the window and saw Jade out back. “Ohhhh I see” she said grinning at me. “It’s nothing, mom I’ll be back later” I said leaving my house before she could say anything else. As I walked out the door Jade turned around and smiled at me, I smiled back of course while I walked down to her. As I got closer I noticed all her features, and she was beautiful. I’m lucky I got her as our new neighbor, compared to our old elderly neighbors who used to live there.

          “Ready?” She asked. “Let’s do it” I said. Did that sound stupid? Damn why is she making me all nervous its weird, im a lady killer “So where should we go to eat?” She asked. “Well there are a couple places down by the boardwalk, you can pick” I said looking up at her “What are you hungry for?” I said. “Ummm I don’t know anything sounds good I haven’t ate all day” she said grabbing her stomach. “Well what about pizza?” “Ok, that sounds good.” She said as we smiled at each other.

          We walked down the beach a ways to the boardwalk and walked up the stairs. I saw a group of my friends standing over by the water. I wasn’t gonna say anything cause I didn’t want to make Jade feel weird, but they saw me and headed my way anyways. “Hey JB” Ryan said to me. “Hey man” I said as we did our handshake. I nodded at Chaz. “Who’s your friend?” Chaz said all flirty to Jade. It pissed me off, I shot Chaz a look. “Hi, I’m Jade, I just moved here” she spoke up all delicately. “Well hi there, I’m Chaz” he said all flirty walking up to her and shaking her hand. “She’s my new neighbor” I said looking at Chaz as he smiles to Jade.

          I shot him another look telling him to cut it out. “Well we’re gonna go get something to eat” I said starting to walk away. Jade waved goodbye and smiled. “See you around” Chaz said, I turned around to see him checking her out, I flipped him off. “Well your friends seem nice” She said. Was she into him?! Who cares dude.

Jade’s POV

          “Hey JB” I heard some guy say walking up to us. Who was he talking to? I thought. “Hey man” Justin said as he did some handshake with him. These must be his friends. Duh I thought. “Who’s your friend” One of them said looking at me up and down. Ew. At least hide the fact that youre checking me out. I felt Justin get tense. “Hi, I’m Jade I just moved here” I quickly said. “Well hi there I’m Chaz” he said giving me his hand, I shook it softly even though I didn’t want to. “She’s my new neighbor” Justin said to him. Is that all he thought of me as? Chaz kept smiling at me. Is this how he flirts?

          Luckily, Justin drew us away from them and we went to go get food, I was starving. “Well your friends seem nice” I said not knowing what else to say about them. I didn’t like how that one was hitting on me like he wanted to get with me. “They’re ok” He said. I laughed.

          We went to go sit down at this pizza place and we didn’t say much since both of us were hungry. I look up on my third slice as Justin takes a bite and he tries to rip the cheese off but it just keeps stretching. I laughed as he was having a hard time chewing it all. After he was done, he asked if I was ready to go. I tried to reach for my money in my pocket but he stopped me and said “Don’t worry, my treat” he said. I smiled back at him as we walked back to the beach. Did we just go on a date? I hope so I thought
