I stared down at the note sitting at the bottom of my purse. I had no idea how it got there or why it was there in the first place. I had been doing my usual purse cleaning that i always do after going to the mall. I had to make sure everything was still there. Like everyday, i found a million gum wrappers from J.J., some loose change and a few lost objects. Unlike everyday, i found a folded piece of paper sitting comfortably at the bottom of my teal coloered purse. I had never seen this porcelain white square before.

I wonder...

I picked it up and unfolded it carefully. I read the letter slowly.

'Poison and acid may be divine but,

I wish i could have the toxin of your lips on mine.

                                                                               -J.T.K.'

I frowned. J.T.K.? J.T.K.? Thats sounds familiar. Then it hit me. I went to my desk and pulled out the note from the other night. The one that had been pinned to my window. I unfolded it and reread it. I was right the initials were the same. J.T.K.

J.T.K.....who are you?

I sat there in thought for a while when, suddenly, my cell phone rang. I jumped up and grabbed it out of the pocket of my jacket that was hanging on my door. I quickly answered it.

"Yes? Hello?" I asked.

"Candy? Its me J.J." I heard the, always excited, sound of my best friend's voice.

"Hey, what's up?"

"Oh, my god! Ok, so, you know how we played that prank on that guy, Tomas?"

"Yeah?"

"Well, his mom found out and posted all over Facebook that her son got played by two girls! Haha! I saw it and couldn't stop laughing!"

"Oh, my god! You're serious?! Thats awesome! Now, I'm really glad we played that prank!" I burst into loud laughter.

We just laughed over the phone for a whole ten minutes, laughing so hard we couldn't talk.

Finally we calmed down enough to make understandable sentences. "So, what's new with you?" J.J. asked.

I was about to tell her about the notes but, decided not to. She could get overly excited and make a big scene. "Nothing much. You?"

"Other than the whole Facebook thing, same. Wanna hang out?"

"We just did."

Even though I couldn't see her I knew she was rolling her eyes. "Thats not what I meant. I have tickets to the skating rink. Would you like to come?"

I smiled. "Of course! When should I be over?"

"Just meet me there in about fifteen minutes."

"Ok, see ya soon!"

"Bye!"

I hung up and looked down at the notes resting in my lap. I picked one up and frowned. "Where did you come from?" I asked aloud as if the little white square could talk. I wanted to say that it was still just a mistake or a prank but, I really didn't know anymore.

I sighed before getting up and putting the notes in my desk drawer. Grabbing my jacket, I headed for the door.

*******

I looked around. J.J. was late. Really late. She was supposed to be here thirty minutes ago. I had called her several times but, she had yet to pick up her phone. I was just about to call the cops when a taxi drove up and J.J. stepped out, an annoyed look on her face.
