|| Chapter 9 ||
|| This is Absolutely Disgusting! ||
After Arabella had made a call to Josie, explained what was going on, and told her to meet them at the mill, Arabella and Rafael began to walk up the stairs. Arabella had a bad feeling, she felt like she was going to throw up at the sight of the giant webs, as they made it to the second floor Arabella tried her hardest to avoid touching any of the webs. They were really thick and almost covered the whole loft, except for a few small paths. Arabella was dodging the webs, avoiding any physical contact with them at all costs. She wasn't taking any chances of them being like spider webs that were meant to catch the spider's dinner. She also made sure to cover her hair so they didn't get stuck into it, it was an overly-girly thing to do but she didn't wanna have to cut her hair out of a giant web.
Arabella really hoped that whatever made those webs wasn't anything that was related to a giant spider. She did not want a Godzilla or King Kong situation where the animal was oversized and able to step on her.
Oh how the roles would be reversed.
What made the whole situation worse was that spiders freaked her out, it was pathetic really. She was a witch in a school full of werewolves and vampires, she had fought a dragon but she was afraid of spiders. It was such a mundane thing to be afraid of, it was like a fear of heights or fear of clowns. It kind of made her feel normal though, made her feel like there was something non-supernatural about her. Arabella was wandering around, inspecting the webs, and thinking of things that would be able to make them.
She was about to touch one when she heard Rafael's slightly panicked voice, "Bella."
She furrowed her eyebrows as she made her way to where Rafael was standing. He gave her an unsure look as he gestured to a bundle of webs that looked similar to a mummy. Like there was a person all wrapped up inside. Arabella moved some of the webs away from the person's face, she gasped as she stumbled away from the bundle of webs. There was a girl inside, Arabella recognized her as one of the girls that went missing, Sasha.
As she jumped away from the girl, Arabella's back hit a wall of webs. She couldn't move her head because her hair was stuck to them, her back and legs were glued to the webs so she couldn't move them either. At that moment, Arabella felt completely helpless, with only her arms left moving she panicked and did something very stupid. She had moved her hands to the back of her head to try and unstick herself but it only made things way worse. Her hands were now stuck behind her head so she couldn't do any magic to defend herself. The only hope she had left for getting out of the webs was standing in front of her, eyes wide and staring at her in shock.
"Raf, this is not the time to check me out," She joked before turning serious again. "I need help."
Rafael suddenly snapped out of his shocked state and furrowed his eyebrows, "Can't you like, magic yourself out of this?"
