Whatever happened at work was highly embarrassing. I'm surprised Arjun didn't fire me right away for supposedly interrupting him by blacking out. However, the more I think about him, the softer he seems to be. He could've simply walked away but he chose to stay around, till I regained my senses.

Let's not overlook the fact that he also dropped me home after work in his Range Rover.

"How was work?!" Harleen squeaked, the corners of her eyes crinkling like a candy wrapper as she hung on the door frame.

"Great, I guess," I answered and hopped off my bed.

My phone lit up with a text.

Normally I would just go to sleep and try to forget the existence of such an awfully embarrassing day.

Unfortunately now, I have Drishti to keep reminding me by fangirling about the way Arjun looked when I had fainted.

I tossed my phone back on the bed and walked over to Harleen. Avoiding eye contact, I slid past her into the living room.

"Also, that guy was really cute. I think you should go for him!" She grinned, flashing a thumbs up to me.

Honestly, I wonder how Harleen and I turned out to be sisters. Harleen and Drishti are so alike that naturally, those two should've been siblings.

"Where is Anaisha anyway? I haven't seen her in ages." I looked at Harleen.

Harleen folded her arms and lowered her eyes. She inhaled sharply and looked aside, blinking away her tears.

"Mom has gone to pick her up. She was at Grace's for the past few days." Harleen smiled at me.

"Di-"

"Grace says she asked her about her father after seeing Grace's husband and son play together. I just wish..."

She trailed off, wiping her cheek with the edge of her palm.

"Mamma!" Anaisha stormed into the room, clinging to Harleen's legs.

Harleen smiled and lifted her three-year-old daughter, pressing her face against her cheek. She turned to look at me, her eyes red with tears.

It was almost as if she were requesting me to bring him back, though both of us knew that was next to impossible.

If there was an award for the greatest slacker of all time, Drishti would win it in a heartbeat. Every once in a while, her eyes flicked away to Arjun's cabin. The next minute, I was filled up on 'how hot Arjun looked in the light blue shirt which was a size too small for him.'

"Do you like her?" I leaned over to Arush, signalling in Drishti's direction with my eyes.

Arush looked up, pushing back his spectacles with his index finger as he followed my gaze to Drishti.
