You woke up in an unfamiliar room and pulled yourself up into a seated position. You noticed you were wearing a plain black shirt that clearly wasn't yours. Beside you was a sleeping man. You instantly recognised him as Shayne, he was sat on his front and his back muscles were clear and prominent. You placed your head in your hands in embarrassment and disappointment. You noticed that both of your clothes were sprawled across the floor.
"Fuck." you muttered under your breath.
Shayne startled at your remark and turned towards you showing his blue eyes then yawning. When he finally realised who you were his eyes widened, he looked on the floor and saw all your clothes then he looked under the covers to find he had no clothes on resulting in him sighing and leaning back in his bed, scratching the back of his neck.
"Morning?" he said awkwardly.
"Fuck Shayne." you said finally looking at him. His face was confused.
"Did we?" you asked sharply.
"Well i think so? We were both so drunk." He said. "Would it be a bad thing if we did?"
You looked into his ocean blue eyes then up and down his body, you wish you could have remembered the night you had spent together, even if nothing happened.
"No Shayne it wouldn't be a bad thing. But..." you said.
At first Shayne smiled at you but the smile soon turned into disappointment as he knew what the 'but' was.
"But we can't do this again." he said.
"It's not that i don't want to, it's that we can't Shayne." you replied with sadness in your eyes.
"Hey, I get it. We can just be friends, can't we?" he said sitting up and trying to consolidate you.
"Yeah we can, of course!" you said hugging him. "might want to get some clothes on then man." You both giggled at your new friendship as Shayne got up to get dressed. You attempted to look away but your eyes pulled you back to him, standing besides you, in nothing but his underwear.
"Hey!" He said noticing you in the mirror.
"I'm sorry!" You said placing your head in your hands once again. By the time you opened your eyes Shayne was sat back next to you, still wearing only his underwear, and had one hand placed on your thigh.
"I need to tell you something." He finally said.
"I know what you're going to say Shayne." you said without looking at him. "and it makes us being 'just friends' even more difficult."
"You know what?" he questioned.
"I know you like me." you said looking at him with sad eyes.
"How did you..." he stuttered, still confused.
"Doesn't matter, but I like you too." You said wiping a tear from your eye.
"Why are you sad then? This is a good thing!" He nearly exclaimed now kneeling opposite you. "But our jobs." he realised.
"I'm sorry Shayne, this job is the best things that's happened to me in a long time, I can't risk it. How do i know that 'we're' worth it?"

*Shayne's pov*
The words spilling out of Y/N's mouth hurt. I wanted us so badly I didn't care about a stupid job, I just want to prove to her that we could be worth it.
"I have a proposition" I finally said
"Huh?" Y/N said confused.
"During Winter games i'm going to show you how and why you should be with me." I said.
"Shayne no one can kno.." she started.
"No one has to know! A secret office romance! A forbidden relationship! It makes it even more exciting." I said.
She thought for a while, her face puffy from crying yet still beautiful as ever.
"Okay Shayne, will you be 'just my friend'?" Y/N asked.
"I'd love to." I replied scooping her into a kiss which she reciprocated gently. "Friends do this right?" I asked jokingly.
"Well, we do." Y/N replied.
She walked into my bathroom still just wearing my shirt, she looked so hot even when she wasn't trying.
"This is gonna be hard." I said to myself.
