Month 4

ELIZABETH POV

I hadn't talked to him for a solid month after that. I was due for a check up with merlin today, he doesn't know. My stomach has grown so much since then, I wonder why. He's been trying to make it up to me, I really want to forgive him, but, he could have hurt the baby.

I sat on the bed waiting for merlin to arrive. The bedroom door opened to reveal a woman with black hair, yellow eyes, and an outfit that showed more skin then clothing. "Hello Elizabeth, I see your still pissed with the Captain." She focused her yellow eyes into a knowing glare." He got all worked up over nothing, I said something about me getting killed while I was still pregnant and he completely freaked out!" She sighed. "I understand. The captain is very protective of you, and now that your carrying his child he's going to be even more so...Anyway, time to check up on how your going." Merlin smiled at her kindly.
Elizabeth laid down on the bed, she
pulling up her top to reveal a very, VERY noticeable bump. Merlin walked into the bedroom and over to the bed, she then began to wave her hand over Elizabeth's protruding stomach, it felt really weird, I could feel a kind of tingling, I didn't know if I liked it or hated it.
She stopped and looked at me, her face held shock and excitement. "Congratulations Elizabeth, your having twins!" My heart stopped.
"No, no, no! This can't be, I told Meliodas that I was afraid that if I had twins that I might lose one." I started crying. "Its okay, I won't let anything like that happen." Merlin spoke with determination, and yet I still felt like my world was falling apart. "Do you want to know the genders?" "Yes, p - please." I stopped crying and laid back down, Merlin continued waving her hand over my stomach. "Their both...girls!" I couldn't help but smile, Meliodas was gonna be disappointed, Two girls, HA! Disappointed indeed.
"Ones a demon and the others a goddess." "What?!" I Couldn't believe it, I have to tell Meliodas! He'll be so happy. Maybe. "So, are you going to tell Meliodas?" She looked me in the eyes, curious, as always. Did she just read my mind.
"Of course, he is the father after all." I replied.
"By the way, their both healthy and should be active around about next week." She said before leaving me alone in the room. I was shocked, exited, happy, but most of all, I was nervous.

Time skip 4 hours

I finally went up to bed where I waited for Meliodas. My thoughts were going wild. Was he going to be happy, or was he going to freak out again. My thoughts were interrupted by someone entering the room. It was about 8 O'clock so I was really tired. Well, not anymore, my nerves returned once again as I was met with those familiar emerald green eyes.
I opened my mouth to speak, but nothing came out but air. "Still don't want to talk to me, I see." His words were filled with annoyance and hurt.
"I do, I actually have something really important to tell you." My excitement didn't reflect in him at all. He seemed really depressed. "I just need to get changed, then you can talk my ear off when I'm done." His words were empty. His eyes suddenly shifted from emerald green to more of a cactus green. I started getting worried.
I sat there for 6 minuets while waiting for him, I decided to think of names for the twins.
"I'm done." Meliodas came back in and got into bed next to me. I was about to explode with excitement. I inhaled sharply, then I started to tell him.
"I'm going to have twins!" His facial expression went from hopeless to pure joy. "Really?"
"Yes! But you may not like this. Their both girls." I watched him carefully, searching for any signs of disappointment. There were none, he started crying. I pulled him into a warm embrace.

MELIODAS POV

I Nuzzled into her neck, I was so happy, two girls. I can teach them how to hunt, fight, that was about it. I pulled out of the hug, looking into her beautiful sapphire blue eyes, they sparkled with fresh tears. "Ones a goddess, and ones a demon." This made me even more happy. Mini versions of us running around, starting fires, getting into fights with ban and playing with kitchen knives. My mind went dark again. FUCK! I let it go, Elizabeth placed her hand on her stomach, she took mine and put it over hers. "They should be moving next wee -" She stopped. "Did you feel that?"
"No." She moved her hand so mine was on her stomach. I waited for a bit, until it happened, I could feel something move against my hand. I couldn't see them yet, but I was already in love. I left my hand there, I could feel the slightest bit of energy radiating from within Elizabeth's baby bump. It was soothing, I knew that they were alright and healthy.
She eventually laid down, cupping my cheeks with both her hands, she began to bring my head over to her stomach. I rested my ear on her belly, listening to them moving around. That's how we fell asleep.

Together, as a to - be - family.
