Adrien had been counting down the days until the field trip. He was honestly surprised his father allowed him to go. At first, he thought Gabrielle would never allow him to 'mingle with the mentally challenged,AKA, lunatics,' but he let him go once he heard it was for Marinette.

"Tell her I wish her the best of luck," Gabrielle had requested. Adrien wondered why he was so sweet towards Marinette.

There was all sorts of chatter on the bus.

"Why do we have to go?" Mylene whined. "It'll be so scary."

"I'm not sure how to act around them." Rose whimpered.

"What if Marinette makes them gang up against me?" Lila whimpered. Alya put an arm around her shoulder gently. "Don't worry; I won't let her hurt you again."

"Besides, she acts like a child. She'll be easy enough to handle." Kim offered, smiling. Adrien rolled his eyes. He was sitting next to Nino, who had to keep him from springing up an yelling. Chloe and Sabrina sat behind them, muttering.

"Yeah," Alix joined in. "I bet if she does anything, her nanny will have to give her a spanking." A wave of laughter went thought the bus. Mrs. Bustier sighed. Poor Marinette.

When they got there, the entire bus immediately went quiet. After a moment, Kim said what they were all thinking.

"That's not exactly what I imagined."

Lila had to agree. She was a little disappointed to see Marinette was inside a giant daycare, and not an asylum. She also knew Marinette wasn't giving into her plan yet. Maybe, this tip would allow Lila to push her in the right direction.

Adrien smiled, his shoulders lowering. He'd been so worried that Marinette was trapped in a madhouse. Now, he knew this place was perfectly friendly and caring. Exactly what Marinette needed.

"I can see why her folks sent her here." Nino observed. "Look! The door has a rainbow on it!" The class stopped by the door, where Mrs. Bustier gave out instructions. They were to be quiet, gentle and polite, not touch anything without permission, and to be very, very careful.

"...and most importantly, I don't know where this sudden hatred of Marinette came from, but I will be talking to her, and I don't want to hear any horror stories." Judging by the looks on his classmates faces, Adrien guessed that rule was most likely going to be ignored.

They were set off in pairs. Alya got Lila, Mylene got Rose, and Adrien got Chloe. Nino and Sabrina went to the headmistresses office first, to get a lay of the land. Adrien and Chloe set off in search of Marinette.

The entire school was danger-proofed. There was carpeting on every floor, except in the gym, and the lockers were more like closets, with doorknobs instead of handles, and lined with soft material. There was soft material basically everywhere, come to think of it. The staff took no chances in their wards getting hurt.

"Everyone here seems so...different." Chloe observed.

"I know."

"No, I mean, different like our class. How everyone's different." Adrien nodded his understanding.

It took a few minutes, but they finally found Marinette in one room. It looked like a playroom of some sort. It was decorated like a kindergarten classroom, with bright colors, soft carpeting, padding everywhere. Marinette sat on the floor, interested in a pile of brightly colored foam blocks. She stacked them into towers, innocently mumbling when they toppled down. Adrien and Chloe smiled, and headed to her.

"Hey, Marinette." Adrien knelt down by her. Marinette glanced up, her face brightening upon seeing them. But, before they could say a word, a girl who reminded them of Kagami popped in between them. "Hey, who gave you permission to talk to her?" Adrien blinked. "Huh?"
