Chapter Ten: Explaining And Complaining

Because of my habit of waking up in the middle of the night after the same dream that I fail every time, we both had a rough night.

But at least I slept.

And at least that voice is gone.

"So, can you at least tell me what the dreams were about?" Sayori asks tiredly as she closes her bag for school.

We had gotten up even earlier to finish homework, as we had both fallen asleep.

I shrug. "I mean, it's not that big of a deal.."

"Moni.. Come on!" She pleads, standing up from the floor. "I'm worried about you!"

You made her worry?

"I'm sorry Sayori." I say, also standing up. "But if you really want to know—"

"HEEEEEYY!!"

I nearly jump out of my skin as the door burst open, a loud voice driving all the tiredness I had out of me. Sayori squeaks in surprise, and we turn to see two girls walk in, one louder than the other.

I sigh. "Natsuki, What is wrong with you?"

Natsuki doesn't seem to care as she's wearing a wide grin, waving a piece of paper around in the air. "Look at what this is~"

She's moving to so excitedly that the words are all a blur, the only thing I can recognize is some kind of layout for a document; one asking you're name and you're approval for something.

Yuri, who's behind her slowly closes the door (Which I'm surprised isn't broken,) with a deadpanned look.

"Uh.." Sayori's eyes follow the paper. "It's a piece of paper?"

"No, you dumb-dumb!" Natsuki laughs, now finally holding the paper out excitedly. "It's a form! A club form!"

I scan my eyes over the paper. It's a sign up form for a club called the "Boys Football Team", and looks like you need to fill it out just to confirm you'll be participating in activities.

"Wow, you're joining a club?" Sayori gasps. "That's awesome!"

"Yeah, good for you." I agree, nodding.

Natsuki joining a club isn't bad for her, it's simply time. I mean, at this rate, will we even have time to practice our powers?

And.. Isn't this the.. Boys team?

"Natsuki is going to get tackled by a bunch of aggressive boys twice her size." Yuri states.

Natsuki flinches as Sayori and I lock gazes with the pinkette. She's what?!

"You what?!" Sayori asks loudly. "Natsuki! That's dangerous!"

"What? Oh, come on!" Natsuki scoff, brining the paper back to her side. "You all were agreeing with me just a minute ago!"

"That was before we knew what this was!" I repeat. "Why are you even doing this in the first place?"

"Because I want to!" Natsuki exclaimed. "And because I want to show that I can show that I can be strong to Ace!"

I suddenly blink in surprise. "Ace, huh?"

Natsuki narrows her eyes, and I instantly regret saying that. "He won't shut up about me being cute!"

She then looks off to the side, calming down. "And anyways, the coach there said I had potential."

Sayori frowns. "But Nat, that's really dangerous.. You could get hurt.."
