Sayori stretches, her arms reaching above her head as she leans back and falls on top of the bed. "Mmm~ Today was a busy day, don't you think?"

I lock the dorm room behind me and turn to face her. "Yeah."

"I can't wait for tomorrow!" She giggles, kicking her legs back and forth.

I feel myself smile, pulling one of the ends of my ribbon to let it fall undone for the night. "Why are you so excited?"

"Because!" Sayori sits up. "Tomorrow we get to see that trial at the cafe, and now Mrs. Smith is willing to help us! What can go wrong?"

I playfully roll my eyes, walking over to the bedside table. "Shall I get out the list?"

Sayori pouts. "Don't be so negative!"

"Sorry, sorry. I'm glad you're so excited though."

"Mhmm!" Sayori crosses her legs on the bed and reaches up to take out her bow from her hair. "Hey, can I ask you something?"

"Sure.."

"What was the best memory you had while you were in that sleep state of yours?"

"U-Uhm.." I pause for a minute, thinking. I can't really pick a favourite, although I know I would've rather not had a certain one.. I could bring up Skylet, but I don't want the mood to become down if she gets guilty for stealing..

"I.. I can't really pick a favourite." I admit, sitting down next to her. "A lot of memories were of us when we really were young."

"Liiiiiike..?"

"..Like the time we first met each other or heard LaLa singing."

Instinctively, Sayori begins humming the tune of what LaLa's song would go by. She stops abruptly and giggles. "Those sound like nice ones."

"Y-Yeah." I shake my head and stand up again, walking over to the light switch. "Ready to turn in for the night?"

Sayori yawns in response, nodding. "Mhmm!"

I flick off the switch, and the dorm becomes a dark shade of grey. My heart begins to pound slightly faster with nerves as I slowly walk back to the bed and lay down next to Sayori.

I can feel her hair bristle again my shoulder. "Night Moni."

"G-Good night, Sayori.."

....

I.. I'm shaking.

Why am I shaking?

I'm fine, so why am I shaking?

Why do I feel like crying?

"Are you alright?"

Yes, I'm fine.

Calm down.. You're fine..

I suddenly hear a fizzle, something cracking. Then a whoosh sound like someone waving fire around, and another pop. I can hear the flames.

Flames.

Fire.

I jolt up, my eyes frantically scanning the dark for light, or dark, fire.

But there is none.

...

Dammit, it's happening again.

I scan the room one more time before laying back down, Sayori adjusting back onto my shoulder.

"..Moni?"
