In this story Will is 16, Mike is 17, Max is 16, Dustin is 16, and Lucas
s is 16. Yes they can drive cars in this story, I'm using imagination.

Will wakes up, and takes his time to stretch around in his bed. He looks around, half asleep and realizes that he was supposed to start working today. It was just a summer job at Scoops Ahoy, but it was super important to him. He was hoping to help his mom a bit.

He slowly stands up so he doesn't get dizzy and walks to his closet. He grabs the scoops ahoy outfit that he was dreading to wear and starts putting it on. After he finished dressing up and fixing up his hair a bit, he grabbed the backpack that he had filled up with some snacks and entertainment.

Joyce is still working although it's summer so Will has to make his own breakfast. He didn't have much time so he just decided that he'd eat something during lunch break.

Will ran outside and got into the car Jonathan had gifted him. The car isn't all that good, but Will appreciates it.

Since Will never goes to Starcourt Mall unless he's hanging out with his friends, he was kind of nervous. He'd see a bunch of teenagers his age living the summer life, while he works at a boring ice cream shop.

Once he arrived at Starcourt Mall, he made sure to get one of the front parking areas. There wasn't much people at that time, but the later it gets the more people there would be. He then entered the mall and made his way to Scoops Ahoy.

Once he got into Scoops Ahoy, he placed his backpack in the back room and waited for customers to come in. There wasn't anyone in Scoops Ahoy except the guy that opened it up. He didn't look of much help since he was sitting down in the backroom, chewing gum..

Will was just standing awkwardly hoping someone would come in so that he wouldn't die of boredom, and boom, a customer rings the bell! Well, the customer was a little girl, but Will thought it was better than nothing.

"Hello, welcome to Scoops Ahoy! Is there anything I can get for you?" Will said looking down at the little girl wearing bright clothing.

"Yeah, I need a sample of the ice cream cake." She said crossing her arms.

"Oh, sure!" Will said, smiling softly.

Will's Thoughts

My first "customer" is a little girl.. she seems familiar but I can't figure out who she looks like. I hand her the sample and she nods her head as she tries it. She hands me the small spoon, and then that's when I realized that she's Luca's sister!

"Oh! You're Luca's little sister?" I ask throwing away the small spoon.

"Seriously? One of Luca's nerd friends? I'm out." She says rolling her eyes and walking away.

I giggle softly, kids are pretty funny.

During my shift, a lot of people came. A lot of them complimented me and said I was way better than other staff who worked here. I was getting ready to go, but I suddenly heard the bell being rung at the front.

"Seriously.. I was just about to go.." I mumble in an annoyed tone.

I walk to the front and notice there was a group of friends. I couldn't help but notice the tall boy with black curly hair.   He had freckles spread all over his cheeks and nose, it was super cute... he was super cute.

"I'm sorry, I already closed everything up.." I say nervously.

"We can be your last customers.. It's just an extra five minutes." A girl next to the boy I had just been admiring says.

Shit, I just want to go home and sleep. Today was a busy day, I'd rather not take an extra five minutes working..

"Sorry, it's been a long day. You guys can come back tomorrow though?" I reply in a sorta tired tone.

"Seriously? You're that lazy?" She says aggressively.

At this point I hear some of her friends saying things like, "He's wasting time." I didn't want to cause problems so I decided that I'd just serve them.

"Hey, hey! Are you guys supposed to be here? This store is supposed to be closed already." I hear a boy say from behind them. I realized that boy was Lucas. Jeez, he's a real life saver.

Lucas skips them, and looks at me with a small smile. "Are they bothering you?" He asks.

"Um, I'm supposed to be closing. She wants me to serve them though." I quietly reply.

"All of you go, if he isn't closed you guys will be held responsible.." He says obviously annoyed.

"Whatever, let's just go somewhere else guys." She says stomping out with her friends.

I noticed the boy with black curly hair stayed.

"Hey, sorry about her. She's kind of a bitch sometimes." He smiles awkwardly.

"No, that's okay!" I smile back nervously.

He nods his head, and gives me a bigger smile than before. I know it was nothing, but my heart couldn't help but skip a beat.

"I was shopping for Max and I just see them bothering you. Stand up for yourself dude.." He says giving me a side hug.

"Well, let me go now. I haven't found anything that Max likes yet." Lucas says sighing dramatically.

"Thank you, Lucas. You're my angel." I laugh.

"Damn right I am!" He says waving as he walks to the store in front of Scoops Ahoy.

I ended up shutting down the store peacefully after that. When I was walking to my car, I saw the friends again. The boy with black curly hair seemed to notice me since he looked my way and smiled a bit.. I smiled back just in case. Then, I started driving back home with some extra cash to help my family, and a stupid crush I have on a random boy now.
