Whilst you were exploring the castle and setting it ablaze, King Ecgberht had shown himself to Ivar and Björn in the courtyard. Upon hearing this you rejoined the brothers and ordered your warriors to throw him into an iron cage. Not moments later Floki emerged from the smoking fort, Helga dead in his arms. You screamed in shock, ran to him and stroked Helga's forehead manically, begging her to open her eyes. Floki and Helga had acted as your parents for a time before they moved to Kattegat to live and fight alongside Ragnar.

"WHAT HAPPENED...Helga...sweet Helga" you spoke frantically to Floki your eyes not leaving Helga, still hoping she would wake. Crying hysterically.

Floki said nothing, but tears rolled down his cheeks. Looking to Björn and Ivar for them to take you so he could pass. Björn moving forward, took you by your shoulders, gently pulling you back and pointing you in the direction of Ivar, sat on the edge of his chariot. You turn with his movements and find Ivar with open arms and a sad, concerned expression on his face.

"Sigrid..." Ivar sighs into your neck. You hold onto him tightly, numb with sorrow. "She sits with the Gods and her daughter now" speaking reassuringly to you. Then placing a gentle kiss to your forehead. You want to reply but cannot begin to think of what to say, your throat feels so tight and sore from sobbing you doubt it would allow for it.

The two brothers watch Floki leave the castle gates and head towards a large tree just outside, whilst you are still pressed closely into Ivar's chest...

Time passes and Floki returns to the castle several times to retrieve items to burry his beloved wife. You stood near the castle with Björn, you had cried for a while but managed to calm yourself...for Floki's sake. You could not begin to imagine how hard this must be for him. First his daughter, then Ragnar and now Helga...'dear, sweet Helga' you thought to yourself. For a while the two of you stand there silently, watching Floki say goodbye. Björn, with his hands held together in front of him, breaks the silence unexpectedly...

"They truly loved one another, they had been together for many years, since I was a boy" he spoke softly, eyes still fixed on Floki across the field.

"After my Father's death, they treated me as their own. Before moving to Kattegat at your Father's request..."

Björn turns to look at you, he does not reply, but waits for you to continue. A tear rolls down your cheek as you continue to watch Floki place items into the ground.

"They educated me, about the God's and all I could hope to expect from life after my parent's death. They spoke to me of the great battles my Mother and Father had fought in. How the Gods blessed them when they fought alongside one another. Of my Mother's murder and how my father had avenged her...how they now sit together in Odin's hall...watching over me.
I owe Floki and Helga my life. Without their guidance, I would not have been strong enough to fight for my Father's throne." you wipe the tear from your cheek as you finish. Clenching your jaw, in an attempt to not appear as weak as your speech must have just made you seem.
