"Dr. Hammond what are you doing here? You just called Ian. I figured you were back at home..." I questioned stepping back a little. Flashbacks of that sinister evil man hit me like a train. I felt my heartbeat begin to race.

"I knew that silly man wouldn't ever agree over the phone with my proposal to go to Isla Sorna. So I'm staying here, in a rather nice hotel. I spared no expense. Next step is to stop by his office." Hammond said pushing through me.

"Dr. Hammond, Ian will not be joining you on another one of your weekend excursions." I said sternly stopping Hammond.

"Oh, so now you make the decisions for him? And he wouldn't be going with me. I have a prepared team assembled for this trip. I do see that big rock on your finger. He bought that for you? I see I'm not the only one with a proposal then." Hammond asked holding my hand to his face, looking at the ring like he had done his amber staff.

I snatched my hand from his, "No, I do not make his decisions, but if I do recall, it was your park that almost killed my fiancé." I cringed saying that.

"Now now, let's not get into a ruckus." Hammond said patting my shoulder.

"Don't you fucking touch me."

"I am a new man now. I have changed my ways." Hammond continued.

"But you can't change your mistakes. I can see it in your eyes. You are still the assho-"

"I would like to ask you a favor." Hammond interrupted.

"Ha, and what is that?" I snapped crossing my arms.

"Convince your lunatic fiancé to come look at Isla Sorna." Hammond said smirking.

"Don't you call my fiancé a lunatic you small minded, ass hat, old man." I said ready to throw a punch. My anger alway had gotten the best of me.

"You will regret saying that my dear. Thank you for listening to what I had to propose." Hammond said turning on his heel the other way.

I angrily stomped into the coffee shop and hurriedly ordered everything I needed. A caramel iced coffee for Sophie, Ian's new favorite a simple mochiatto, and a tea for myself.

I quickly walked back to the office and enjoyed the nice weather while I could. I stepped into the spinning glass doors and into the building.

I walked over to the security officers office. I looked through the window that had its blinds open. That signaled that he's not busy. Officer Jerry sat behind a desk with 3 computers lined up next to each other. He was a tall, muscular, and knew how to handle things.

He looked up and smiled. "How may I help you today Ms. Lohmann?" he asked.

"There's been a threat. Towards Dr. Malcolm and I." I had no other way to word it. "You know John Hammond? He's in the city." I said quickly, almost mumbling.

"Ohhh... that guy." Jerry said nodding his head. He, of course, knew the story too.

"If he comes in for me or Dr. Malcolm, don't let him come up." I requested. "Just don't let him in at all, actually."

"That's no problem at all." Jerry said toying with a bobble head.

"Thank you." I whispered getting up from my seat.

"Wait, do you mind if I ask you a personal question?" he asked right before I opened the door.

"Oh no not at all. It is sort of your job, right?"

"Are the tabloids true? Is it Dr. Malcolm you're engaged to?" he questioned gesturing to the ring and then back up to me.

"Yes. We're engaged." I almost choked on the words.

"Well, congratulations." he continued with a smile.

"Thank you." I said almost choking on the words again. I opened the door and walked out.

I looked around for any more obstacles and remembered I had be carrying around this coffee for quite a while and probably needed to drop it off.

I stepped into the once empty elevator again and pressed the 12th Floor button.

I leaned back on the metal wall and watched the numbers go up. Finally, it came to my floor. Sophie instantly looked up when the elevator doors opened and gave me a welcoming smile.

"One caramel iced coffee." I said setting down her coffee on her desk with a smile.

"And 5 dollars for you." she gleamed handing me the 5 dollar bill.

"Don't worry about it, Soph. This ones on me."

I walked toward Ian's office. I jiggled the handle and it wouldn't open. It was locked. I fumbled with my clutch and couldn't find my key to the door. I cursed under my breath when I realized I left the key at home.

"Ian?" I said knocking on the door.

"Oh he left a little after you did. He said he got an important phone call and had to handle something." Sophie yelled from across the room.

"Do you know who the call was from?" I asked. If it's Hammond I swear...

"Oh, he didn't inform me on that."

"I'm going to try to find him." I replied.

I had an idea of where to find him. With a lot of thinking and with an educated guess, I knew he was with Hammond.
