6 - Training

The UA sports festival was only in 2 weeks, which meant hardcore training. I practically lept out of my chair as the bell to signal the end of class rang. Even though I was practically shaking with anticipation, I packed my bag neatly, making sure no papers were crinkled or crushed. After securing my bag, I tossing it on my back.

Looking up, I realize me and Bakugou are the only ones still in the classroom, although he was just leaving. I speed walk, catching up to him, greeting him with a smile. "What're you gonna do until the sports festival?" I ask curiously.

"Training obviously" he said, giving me a -are you really that stupid- look. "Oh yeah.." I say, getting the message, perking up as I get an idea. "How about we train together?" I ask as we exit the UA grounds. I wanted to get to know him since I knew he could throw a good punch. I had experienced his strength and I wanted to match it. Surpass it if I could.

"Hell no, I don't want you digging around in my head" he says, his voice showing he was offended that I even asked. "Awww come onnnnn, I won't use my quirk on you if you don't want me too. Plus I need to workout my body too" I say persuasively.

His eyes squint in thought as we walk in silence. After what felt like forever, he finally says "fine, meet me at the park every day at 6am. Training starts at 6:05 am and ends at 2pm on the weekends. On the weekdays train by yourself at school, training afterschool starts at 4 pm and ends at 6pm at the same park." He says, I nod, memorizing the times. I'll definitely get stronger if I train with him, it's practically guaranteed I think smugly to myself.

"Can I have your phone number? In case my mom makes me do something and I end up running late?" I ask, bringing out my contacts in my phone. "Whatever" he says, handing me his phone as I hand him mine. Typing in my number, I make my nickname - Asuna is the best- to mess with him.

I save the contact, exiting out if that window and giving him his phone back. He gives me mine back, I smile, seeing he put in his name as -Explosion King-."Well, this is my stop" I say as I stop in front of a white house with blue trimmings. It has a wrap around porch and big windows that show off the nearby river. (Comment below if you get the reference! This house is from a classic romance movie)

I jump up the steps to my front door, unlocking it with my key."I'll see you bright and early tomorrow morning, bye Bakugou!" I say a little loud as I wave to him, smiling brightly. "See you then" he says as he crosses the street, entering a beige house. I didn't know he lived across the street from me I thought to myself, closing the front door behind me.

Then again that would explain the firework-soundung explosions coming from there all the time I think to myself, although my thoughts are interupted by my very curious mom. "Y/NNNNNNNN is Bakugou your boyfriend?" She asks. I realize that she had heard me yell his name not even 20 seconds ago.

"What? No! We're just friends!" I say as my face heats up slightly, showing my flustered feelings. "If your just friends then why are you meeting him tomorrow morning, huh?" She asks, wiggling her eyebrows suggestively.

I roll my eyes, "We're training for the UA sports festival together, he's really strong and I think I could learn a thing or two from him. Plus since tomorrow is Saturday, we can train all day" I explain, as non-sexual as possible. "So he's going to show you his moves?" Asuki asks, giving me a very big wink. "ASUKI!" I say loudly, gasping "being distracted by boys? I would neeeeeever" I say sarcastically, tossing my hand over my forehead and pretending to look faint.

We both break out into giggles as I proceed to tickle her intensely. She laughs, running to the couch for safety. "Ok, ok, time out, don't you have homework?" She asks, catching her breath. "Yup, I'm gonna go work on it, love you." I say, grabbing my bed and heading upstairs. "I love you too ladybug" she yells after me as I enter my room through a black door, closing my door behind me.
