I kicked, rolled, changed positions, pulled the blanket on me, then kicked it off and eventually curled up in a ball. No matter what I did, I couldn't sleep.
My body was slow and tired, but my mind was sharp and fully awake. I groaned softly as I flipped over onto my stomach, my eyes scanning the room around me.
It was pitch black, and had the odor of cherry blossoms, probably the result of someone's perfume. All the other girls were in sleeping bags, sleeping and snoring, which was pretty funny since on further inspection, Uraraka was drooling.
I held back a giggle as I dug my phone out from my backpack. Since I couldn't sleep, I might as well check the time. Upon seeing the blinding light of heaven itself from my phone, I dropped it, instinctively rubbing my eyes with the palms of my hands.
"God damn it are you fucking serious" I whisper-curse to myself as I blindly flail my hands around the floor in the dark, desperate for the cool touch of my phone.
I smile gently as I lift up my phone, my eyes beginning to adjust to the darkness again. Being cautious this time, I squint as I lower my brightness, glancing at the big numbers at the top of my screen.
2:35
I sighed, stuffing my phone back into my backpack. Standing up, I silently slip out of my sleeping bag, tiptoeing to the door and escaping the snoring hell known as my camping dorm.
The fresh night air hit me light a freight train, I didn't expect it to be 60°. Then again, I was used to an air conditioning/heating house rather than a cabin in the woods.
Stepping down from the doorway, I carefully close the door behind me. Such a nice night, it's be a waste to not enjoy it..
I began my journey into the woods, since it was way too dark, I was relying on my hearing and touch for everything.
Reaching out my hands, I walk from tree to tree, passing the time by contemplating ways to fix everything with Katsuki outloud, not like anyone could hear me..
"What if I got him something manly, like a knife? No, he'd probably yell at me saying he could cut something himself..." I walk around another tree, letting my hand slide along it's bark.
"Oh, I could go and tell him I'm sorry, no, no that'll never work, he'll just act like he did nothing wrong.." I kick a rock, celebrating my idiotic ideas.
"What if I told him to spot being such a bitch!?" I said, a little louder this time. I cracked a smile, laughing slightly, "that was a good one, but it won't work"
The night was changing, getting brighter, it was a full moon tonight, not that I cared. Slivers of light filtered in from the treetop above, making a stainglass pattern on the grass below.
My smile vanishes as I lean against a tree, taking a deep breath in and heaving it out in one big sigh. "Well what the fuck am I supposed to do, huh? I can't fix his mood, I can't fix food.."
My eyebrows draw together as my feelings escalate, I feel them sputtering to life in my chest like a small fire. "I can't even fix how other people see me!" I yell, turning to punch the tree I was next to, but what caught my fist was definitely not a tree.
My eyes widen as my eyes trail the hand holding my fist up to Katsuki's face, only making the anger in me grow. "And apparently I'm fucking deaf too, I didn't hear you coming" I growl, pulling my fist from his grasp.
"Go away, i know you don't want to talk to me, much less look at me" I snap, eyeing him up and down. He was in black shorts and a white shirt, with tennis shoes on.
