Michelle never wanted to let Evan go the way he did. She simply wanted to reconnect with him like they once were over a decade and a half ago, when they were little kids. Michelle, Evan, and Cassandra were a trio that could not be separated no matter the circumstance.

Or so she thought. Cassandra has long been gone pretty much without a single trace.

"Michelle?"

A voice snapped her out of her thoughts. "H-Huh?"

It was Brianna, who looked completely exhausted. "It's time for lunch."

"I know that," she responded with a little bit of attitude. She didn't really mean to snap the way she did, but it just sort of came out without much thought.

"Yeah, well, I'm going to go get mine so you can do whatever you want," she snapped back.

Normally, she'd drain her powers and give her a massive migraine because of it, but she never really had the energy or the drive to do so. She just wanted to be with Evan, but ever since his outbreak yesterday, she hasn't seen him since.

It was also strange that she hasn't seen any of the other soldiers, either. The ones stationed here were in charge of watching over the Falcons to make sure they didn't do anything stupid and get them whatever they could afford to keep them happy. Michelle never really asked for anything, though. Nor did she hardly leave her room except for food and to use the bathroom.

"'Sup, Michelle."

She held back a groan as Trevor strolled up to the table she was at. Michelle didn't really want to talk with him at the moment. Surprisingly, Trevor asked a question that she wouldn't have expected him to ask.

"Are you okay?"

"I'm fine," she lied. "Go get your lunch before we miss the deadline. Have you seen Kaylie?"

He shrugged. "I dunno. She's probably pampering herself up in front of her mirror."

Michelle sighed and stood up. "I'll go get her. Brianna!"

Brianna frowned as she was walking back with a tray that consisted of Bolivian tacos with grapes and a small milk bottle on it. "What do you want?"

Before she even realized it, Michelle tensed her fingers into a claw and shot it at Brianna. She gasped in a mix of surprise and fear. Michelle threw her hand towards the ground, which caused Brianna to cry out in pain and drop the tray.

"You will not talk to me like that!" Michelle exclaimed, while Brianna was still getting drained of her powers, which is a painful and excruciating experience. "Do you understand!?"

Brianna was in tears. "I-I'm sorry! Please stop!"

"Michelle!" Kaylie's voice called out to her. "Stop that!"

She finally let up, and Brianna dropped to her fours and started to gasp for air. Michelle started to walk back towards the living quarters, ignoring the calls of Kaylie and Trevor.

She thought that Brianna needed to be put in her place if she had the nerves to talk to her leader like that. With Quentin gone, she felt that she was the only one that wanted to keep the Falcons one step ahead of the Powerclan. Brianna was too mixed up in reading magazines. Trevor was too focused on getting Kaylie's attention. Kaylie herself was intent on trying on several different kinds of make-up. It was like they didn't care about what was going on.

But Michelle was focused on finding Evan more than anything.

She wandered through the corridors near the living quarters, stopping at every door and listening in to hear if anybody was in them. Then she'd move onto the next door. Then the next one.
