Simon volunteered to take Bailey to the other building outside that laid close to the now evaporated pool, thanks to Jamie. I continued to watch with the rest of the Powerclan from the computer screens inside the main office room.

"What do you think Simon's gonna make Bailey do?" I asked Donovan, who was watching Quentin's screen. He glanced at me.

"Who knows? Landon's challenge was something I'd never expect, but Jamie's was pretty much up her alley," he said.

He had a point there. Nobody could really guess what Simon could throw at her. Especially with her powers, I was halfway surprised that he did come up with something.

Meanwhile, I turned my attention back to the screen, where Bailey stood just outside of the other building...

----------------------------

"So, what are you going to make me do?" asked Bailey, still trying to calm down her nervous body.

Simon only gave her a smirk that made her even more nervous. "You'll find out soon."

He led Bailey inside the building which was very dark. Simon shut and locked the door and suddenly ran past her. She yelped as the footsteps faded away.

"W-What's going on?" she stammered. "Simon...?"

For what seemed like forever, it stayed quiet until a soft humming sound began to ring her ears. Confusion washed over her, but it only got worse as the lights dimmed on just a bit.

Speakers. Huge, giant speakers stood towering above her. Simon had got it right; sound and darkness were Bailey's greatest weaknesses. The sound would jar her ability to focus on the person she wanted to confuse or give painful migranes to. Darkness would limit her ability to see them. Simon himself stood with an electric guitar strapped around his shoulders. He also wore soundproof headphones to help himself. Bailey, on the other hand, had nothing. Her ears were probably going to explode.

He simply looked down and casually strummed a tune, and the speakers followed up with it. It was loud, but not quite deafening. Bailey imagined what it would feel like when he began to actually play.

"You should already know what you have to do by now, Burbidge." Simon yelled this over the next note he played. Higher pitched, this time. Bailey cringed and tried to cover her ears.

The truth was, she did. As soon as she saw the speakers, everything immediately explained itself.

Simon strummed the strings of the guitar, and that was more than enough for her to cover her ears and groan in pain.

"Come on, scramble my mind. I know you can do it," teased Simon. He strummed the chords harder this time, making Bailey groan louder in pain. With this much noise, there was no possible way she could focus on him. Simon began to loudly play notes on the guitar, making the volume only increase.

"Come on Bailey! I'll only get louder!" he screamed.

Bailey began to tell over the noise as the pain in her ears made her head want to explode. It was pure agony. Then she dropped to her knees and tried to bury her head in her lap, a desperate attempt to block out the tremendous amount of noise rushing into her smaller head.

Simon, of course, didn't lay off. He only increased the volume as he watched her with glee. It wasn't the fact that he was enjoying this. He wasn't at all, actually. He was waiting for the moment she'll snap. And Bailey knew it.

Which she finally did. Bailey slowly stood up on her feet as Simon continued to play the deafening music. She still had her ears covered tightly, but her face went from scrunched up and cringe to calm and composed. She began to think about things that made her calm down. Mason's smile always relaxed her. Even though he wasn't doing it as much now, seeing him show joyous emotions made her happy as well. His soft lips when they met hers, it always sends shivers down her body.
