Ushijima pulled the keys from the rack and sprinted to his car and ripped open the back door harshly. The ace pulls the blankets over the three dusty backseats of the old farm truck. The captain didn't waste any time and jumped from the backseat into the drivers and shoved his keys into the ignition. Of course, typical of the old truck the ace owned it took more than a couple of times to get it started up. Ushijima would like to say he doesnt have a dirty mouth and would often avoid swearing as he was always punished when he was young but in that moment he didn't care, his best friends in trouble. So he cursed at the car until it started.
When the ace pulled into the red heads drive way he couldn't see what was wrong. The dim lights of the house still shone out the dirty windows into the night sky. The unkempt garden looked slighty different, his red haired friend was curled next to the old willow tree shivering in the cool night air. "tendou" the ace breathed, and rushed over to the boy trying to see anything wrong with him. When he got closer he could see the some damage, a deep black and purple bruise covered most of one side of his face and blood was dripping from his nose onto his white sneakers (i'm Australian i don't know if thats the right term? but its like joggers or trainers or whatever). His Shiritorazawa jersey was dyed a deep red at the front, making the number five on it almost unreadable.
"What the... Tendou did you get into a fight" he whispered picking the boy up. The young red head laughed lightly and shook his head.
"No my aunty did it" he groaned into the strong, toned chest of Ushiwaka. The ace slide Tendous limp body into the car.
"right lets get you home" he soothed and jumped back into the dust covered car.
