Idk if i wrote this all in the same tense so yeah i mean i did write this on sleep medication so yeah have fun.

The ace tried to keep Tendou talking to make sure hes ok. Tendou couldn't quite speak coherent sentences with his words straying from this weeks jump to volleyball or actors and actress that he admired.  The ride to the number ones farm was way longer than it ever was, it seemed to stretch on forever. Ushijima felt his hand shake on the wheel as his friend went quite. "I need to take you to the hospital" he stated and took a sharp corner to the right. Tendou groaned in pain and pulled his knees to his chest "noooo" he said dragging out the o as much as possible. "they'll tell my parents" he groaned again making the ace pull over and turn back the face the boy writhing in pain. 

"My step father is an ER nurse its his night off he can treat you but Tendou... you might not get to the farm" Ushiwaka choked back a sob. Tendou turned his head and locked eyes with the captain of his team. He smiled an emery smile 

"I'll make it" and with that Ushiwaka speeds off into the night. 

... 

"Ren!" Ushiwaka yelled into the dark house as he set the beaten up boy on the table top. A rustling was herd at the top of the stairs and a blonde haired shirtless man stumbled dwon to his step son. Ushijima flicked the lights on making Tendou groan and try to lift his hand to shelter his eyes from the blinding light. Ren gasped and gave his step son a confused or concerned look, Wakatoshi couldn't really tell which though. Regardless he wordlessly got his first add kit. Ushijimas mother walked down the stairs still squinting from the light "Wakatoshi what?" she asked rushing over to her sons friend and helped the ace take off his now unconscious friends shirt. "His family" he mumbled and took the red headed boys hand with his right hand and wiped the tears from his face with his left. His step father ushered him out of the dinning room and began treating his friend.

Ushiwaka didnt sleep much that night. he had curled up in a ball with his blankets, he held his phone and continued to constantly call either Semi, Reon or anyone. They didnt pick up though and he eventually feel asleep. 

The ace stared into the middle blockers eyes as he was lead into a field of flowers. With every step he  took yellow pollen would fly around them making a beautiful effect. Tendou giggled and pulled the ace into a hug. The ace lost his balance and fell into the field of flowers, making the yellow and pink petals fly into the air and float there like they were on the moon. The pair -

The greenish haired boy jolted awake. He looked around, he wasn't in the field of flowers. He was in his bedroom. The volleyball posters and bookshelves paled in comparison. It was early morning as light filtered into through the white certain. He looked down at his phone, he had at least 20 calls or texts and his phone was on 4%. Although the ace was a defiant morning person his eyes watered as the sleep from his eyes began to crust. He slipped into the dinning room but Tendou wasn't there. He panicked for a moment  before he looked into the lounge room where Tendou was watching the TV with his eyes blank and unfocused. The ace walked over to him and sat down next to him. He looked over at his friend who seemed to have trouble restering who was sitting next to him and or where he was. The number five reached his hand out wordlessly waiting, his eyes still blank. The ace took it and Tendou felt around the veins and his skin. Ren walked into he room and looked at the seen. "ah his injury's are making it so that his body and mind is more focused on his injury's so its going to be hard for him to understand things going on"

"he's ok right" He asks and his step father nods. "you didnt tell the hospital or anything?" he mumbles after a while. 

"no why?" he asked laying an icepak on Tendous right shoulder, making him look at him confused. 

"Its his family, they did this to to him. Ren we cant let him go back" He stressed. Ren smiled and with a nod he walked out of the room with a small "i'll call the coach and your school that you two wont be there"
