Chapter 8

         Karan sat on the couch in his vanity van, his laptop placed on his lap, he was going through his email when he heard a knock. "Come in, samiksha I told you not to always knock, you are welcomed here anytime" he said, his eye still on the laptop.

"What about me baby, I'm I also welcomed here???

Karan's face froze, he never expected to see her, they had not even seen each other for three weeks, he had assumed the person knocking to be samiksha because she always knocked and waited for his permission before she could come in

"Bella (his wife), when did you get here, I thought it was samiksha at the door" Karan said as he shut his laptop.

Bella scoffed, "who is samiksha"

"she's my co star, samiksha jaiswal, you have watched zindagi ki mehak on TV right, you would have seen her on TV" Karan said as he poured his wife juice and handed it to her.

"Never! I can't watch shows like that, because it's very boring, moreover it is not meant to be watched by people like me."

Karan was hurt by what she said, but he kept mute and listen to her.

"I have sent you a document, i will not tell you what it is about, not until you have thought it through, till then bye" Bella said running her fingers around the glass of untouched juice.

"meet samiksha before you go" Karan urged.

"Fine! where is her vanity" Bella asked disappointed that Karan was not aware of what she mailed him.

Karan Led the way and few seconds later they stood at the door of samiksha's vanity.

"Samiksha?" Karan Called out knocking on her door.

"coming" samiksha said.

"Hello, karan........ You're bella vohra right, I've heard a lot about you" samiksha said as she extended her hand for a hand shake.

"sorry, but I don't shake strangers hand" bella said as she looked at samiksha with disgust.

"I thought so, but I see you hug strangers on TV" samiksha mocked.

"whatever! Karan i have to go now, read the Mail and tell me your answer, I'll leave now as I have important things to do" Bella said as she sashayed to her car, leaving samiksha and Karan to stare at her as she left.

"Mr Karan vohra, your wife has left now you can stop looking at that direction, or are you missing her already" samiksha teased him and he smiled, a smile that left him thinking of the mail, a smile that said 'hey, I'm not happy' a smile that didn't reach his beautiful chocolate brown eyes and samiksha noticed it.
