✔️Lost My Way - Kang Yeosang (ATEEZ)

Chapter 5

It was an hour before the concert. I tried to leave but the boys begged me to stay as we were having fun and chatting away. They asked me to do some dances which I happily did but not before reminding them that I only do it for fun so I am not a pro. They put on wave which I knew very well and I danced to all of the song. They all had their jaws hanging too the floor.

"OMG, THAT WAS AMAZING" Mingi said in English. I laughed at how cute he sounded when speaking english. "Really? I thought my dancing is alright but not amazing." I laughed again.

"The way your body flows with the music is great and you are so good at staying in time to the music" Hongjoong said. I mumbled a "thank you" while blushing, then I sat back down.

Just as I sat down the door opened and in walked San. The others didn't notice because they were still going on about how good my dance was. San walked straight by and sat in the chair ready to have his hair done.

Yeosang then noticed and walked up to him patting his shoulders. "You ok San?" Yeosang sighed. San just nodded. As Yeosang was massaging his shoulders, he stopped realising something. "Have you been smoking again? I thought you stopped. You were doing so well! It had been 6 months! What happened?" Yeosang snapped while looking at San through the mirror.

The other boys heard this and looked over shocked that San had picked up his bad habit again.

San had managed to stop his bad habit for 6 months until now which some may think 'only 6 months' but for San, that was an achievement because he had been smoking since he was 14 due to stress and anger. Some of the boys wondered what had triggered it to happen again while the rest of them that knew about Wooyoung and San's argument over Aubrey and they knew that was the real reason.

Wooyoung was sat in the corner of the L shaped sofa looking guilty. 'I was the cause of this' he thought, while Aubrey was over the other side of the sofa thinking the exact same thing about herself.

"Hey guys, I'm just going to the toilet." Aubrey sniffled and walked out with her head hung low. San looked over to her with regret showing in his eyes but he also wasn't ready to talk to her as he was still annoyed, so he looked away. The others didn't notice the look San gave for a short second but Seonghwa did. He sighed, shaking his head and went to follow Aubrey.

Aubrey was half way down the hallway when Seonghwa shouted her name running to her. She hesitantly turned around allowing Seonghwa to see her tear stained face again. Seonghwa brings her into his embrace and holds her tight letting her know that he is there for her.

He hasn't known her for long at all (a few hours) but he feels like he needs to protect her and he can tell that she has had a lot go on: even if she hasn't told them that. He wanted to be the older brother she never had who is always there to protect her.

"I'm so sorry" Aubrey cried "This is all my fault!" Seonghwa just sat and listened while patting and stroking her back.
"Did you do something to hurt him?" Seonghwa asked. "No, I don't even know him! How could I have done anything wrong?" Aubrey whispered but Seonghwa heard.
"So it isn't your fault then, is it? You didn't do anything to hurt him. It is San who caused this not you".

Aubrey realised that Seonghwa was right and that she didn't do anything wrong to hurt him. Aubrey then started to feel angry because she had felt guilty, thinking she was to blame for this when she did nothing wrong!

After a couple more minutes of Seonghwa calming her down, the two went back towards the room because it was time for Ateez to perform. Luckily Seonghwa was already in his outfit and had his hair and makeup done otherwise the would have been late.

While Aubrey and Seonghwa were talking outside, the other boys were also talking to San, asking what is going on. He refused to tell them, simply saying it was nothing but they knew there was something more.

San then asked "what is the big deal about the girl anyway? She is only going to leave and disappear forever".

This left all the boys confused. Did someone who San thought was important leave his life and Aubrey might have similar mannerisms so it bought up his past? They all knew he never had parents and he lived with his aunt and uncle but did one of them leave him too?
Ateez left it at that and went to prepare for the stage.

Aubrey's POV
About 10 minutes before the show started, Seonghwa gave me his phone number so we could still talk after this if I ever needed someone. He then asked the security to take me to my seat so I could watch the show, which I began getting excited about. The security took me to a seat which was front row. This is definitely not my seat.
"Excuse me! This is not my seat". I said to the security.
"This is a spare seat. Seonghwa told me to let you sit here as it is available". I smiled and said "thank you" then he walked of smiling too.
I looked around the arena and was shocked at how full it was! It was so big and I was so proud for Ateez.

After about 10 minutes of waiting, Ateez finally came out and everyone screamed. It was so exciting! I screamed a bit even though I spent some of the day with them. Everyone had their lightsticks which made the room glow up in sync. They sang all of their songs and did a random dance play where they dance to different songs, mainly from other kpop artists.

The boys kept giving me glances every now and then smiling at me. I cried my eyes out when they performed 'twilight'. To be honest San's voice is what made me cry because it sounded just as perfect as in the album. They all sounded perfect to be honest. He even looked at me when he sang 'this is how I feel about you, twilight, it's like twilight yeah'. I know he didn't like me for some reason but it was as if something had changed and he calmed down from earlier.

It was honestly the best night of my life.

After the concert finished, I decided to go back to the hotel. It took a while to get to the underground as there were very long queues.
I then heard a girl infront of me say "OMG have you seen the photo that has just been posted in the news article of Seonghwa and a girl hugging?" I didn't think much of it until I went to search it up and see how cute the photo of Seonghwa and the girl looked. I didn't know Seonghwa had a girlfriend, not that I'm really close to him or anything.
When I found the article that had been posted, I looked at the photo and my jaw dropped. IT WAS ME FROM EARLIER WHEN I WAS CRYING! How did someone get this photo. No one was aloud in this part unless you were a crew member.

Soon I hear more and more people in the queue talking about it. I heard things like 'she is probably ugly' 'how can he even talk to her, she isn't even korean' 'I wonder if she learned Korean' 'I hope she gets what she deserves' 'she looks quite pretty from this view' 'she looks fat' 'she looks too skinny' 'does she eat'. All these things were what people were saying around me. I needed to get out of here as soon as possible.

I felt myself getting dizzy so I went to the side to sit on a bench and decided to stay out the queue for a bit. I couldn't think straight for a while. All those comments were going around in my head! "I didn't ask for any of this" I whispered bringing my head towards my knees and covering my ears with my hands.
