30th October 1994

The boat journey was the most uncomfortable day and a bit of Raven's life, not only was it a boat but a boat that went underwater, nothing was more uncomfortable to the black-haired girl. So, when the boat rose from the water at six o'clock on the 30th October, the girl had never been happier, as she gasped a long-awaited breath of fresh, Scottish air. Whilst the plank of their ship was lowered onto the bank of the lake.

The students began leaving the boat, climbing gracefully up the rocky bank edges; whilst Raven gazed longingly at the castle before her. "Dumbledore!" Igor Karkaroff called out heartily as he approached the old headmaster, "How are you, my dear fellow, how are you?"

"Blooming, thank you, Professor Karkaroff," The old headmaster replied softly, his voice smooth and gentle compared to Karkaroffs rather rough booming one. The two headmasters shook hands excitedly.

"Dear old Hogwarts," Raven heard him call out as he followed his students gazes towards the castle that was much grander than their own. He smiled a longing smile, almost as though he was returning home after a very long trip, his deformed, yellow teeth caused some of the Hogwarts students to grimace noticeably, "How good it is to be here, how good....Viktor, come along, into the warmth....you don't mind, Dumbledore? Viktor has a slight head cold...."

Raven and Neveah chuckled silently, pulling their fur coats closer to their petite bodies in an attempt to salvage the warmth, Viktor didn't have a 'head cold' Karkaroff just couldn't bear to see his precious student be uncomfortable and cold. Pathetic. Neither the less, Dumbledore nodded and stood to the side, waving the students into the castle. Raven smiled at the old headmaster sheepishly as she passed by him as he chuckled from the whispers of his students as they fawned over the star Quidditch player.

"It's Krum!"

"He's so good looking."

"Oh, wow!"

"Lavender, does my hair look okay?"

"Do you reckon he'll sign with my lipstick?"

Raven shook her head as her best friend rolled her eyes, and followed behind their headmaster into the ginormous castle. Raven stood among the students of her school in the entrance of the hall, whilst the older students looked around uncomfortably, "Мерлин, топло е." ("Merlin, it's warm.") Neveah groaned, wafting a hand in front of her face. Raven laughed at her friend, pulling her fur coat further to her body, flicking her hair behind her shoulder as they looked around. Several Hogwarts students' eyes were drawn to the fur-clad group as they eventually strutted across the hall to the table marked in green.
