Suman smiled looking at the ream of papers resting on her lap. The time when she was totally immersed in working like an assiduous ant did not go waste. She was writing it since college days.

Whenever she got free time, she was seen in library pouring her thought out on the papers. She never ever thought that she will be able to finish it but here she is ready with the draft of her first book.

She caresses her name written on it and looks at the sky.

"I did it mumma papa. It did it!" The feeling is indeed overwhelming.

Her phone buzzed. Placing the draft beside her on the bench, she is sitting on, took out her phone from her bag.

"Hello"

"Can i talk to Miss Suman Tiwari?"

"Speaking"

"Miss Tiwari the book plot you mailed us last week is accepted. We would like to read your draft first. After that we will decide if it would be selected by our publication or not. So are you interested?"

"Huhh? Ye.. yes i am" she faltered a little adjusting her spectacle.

"So see you on Monday at RR Publications. Thank you so much for your time."

Even if the call went dead minutes ago, she is still sitting there, holding her phone close to her ear with shock written all over her face.

She looked around, the sun is about to set and the people in the park have already left. She is not able to see a single soul there.

Good for me!

With a smile on her face, she got up from the bench and exult in joy by jumping around.

Yes yes yes! Oh my god i can't believe it.

Her happiness knew no bounds. Then something happenes which is not new, the floor again attracted her like a magnet and she fell flat on her face.

"Ouuchh!" She swaned her face up, opening just one eye of hers, looks around if anyone has seen her falling and sighed looking at her glasses, still not broken.

Today is really your lucky day sumo!

This plunge can't bring her happiness down. She sat slouching there on ground with that stupid smile still residing on her face and scrubbed the filth from her clothes. She placed her glasses back in the case. She only wears them when she is reading or writing as she has hyperopia.

She made her way to the house which she can never call hers.

"Where were you? Its seven and the book store close at five." Anuj asked her in a dominating voice which made her flinch.

"I was at the park." she tried not to spoil her mood because of him.

"What were you doing at the park?" His pitch getting higher.

"I wa was writing mh my book" she stuttered

"Again that book. Don't you have anything good enough to do?"
