Melissa took one last glance at the burn victim, sighing in pity. She closed the door after her, entering back into the front desk as she pulled out her pen and skimmed through the medical packet.

"We don't know what it was! It just attacked us!" Melissa heard a voice yell. She turned her attention that way. Her eyes stopped on a group of girls gathered around a nurse. They looked a complete mess and agitated. Melissa furrowed her brows, walking over to them with an interest.

"Why do you need to know that?" Another girl barked at the nurse.

"Our age doesn't matter okay?" The other jumped in.

"Look, will you just listen to us? We're not lying." The girl with black hair assured the nurse. Melissa came up between them, letting the man take a breath of relief.

"Don't worry I'll take it from here Henry," Melissa reassured him.

"Good luck." He said as he wasted no time before walking off. Melissa eyed each and every girl gathered in their desperate state.

"So tell me...what happened?"

"So what do you think, Scott? Captain Stilinksi..." He sang proudly. "You think Lydia would like it?"

"I think that my mom is really going to flip if I'm not on my best behavior after what happened at the school. You should've seen her when she found out, Stiles." The young black-haired boy told the other as they entered through the hospital doors. In his hand, he carried a black leather purse as he looked around the busy halls of the hospital.

"And?"

"And what?" Scott glanced at his friend, Stiles.

"And what do you want for lunch-what do you think?!" He mocked, sarcastically. "What did you tell her?!" Stiles urged his friend.

"That I was sneaking around with my friends, what else?" He said as if it was the most obvious thing in the world. He wasn't going to dare tell his mom that he'd snuck into a school and a huge werewolf was roaming around trying to eat them. Instead, he stuck with, they were doing something stupid, like teens always do...and that was when Derek had shown up to scare them around. "I said I had no idea what was happening. We got scared so we just called the cops. I pretended I wasn't in the room for all of it so I didn't really know anything." He whispered as if his mom would hear through the pale hospital walls.

"And she bought it?!" Scott rolled his eyes.

"Well enough to ground me for it."

"You have a lot to learn my friend." Stiles patted him on the shoulder as he spoke. Stiles was the master at lying to parents, and his dad was the sheriff.

"What did you two do now?" A sudden voice spoke up, turning the boys' attention behind them. Melissa stood in her blue nurse's uniform with arms crossed as she stared the pair down. "And you?" She began, directing her attention onto Scott. "Didn't I ground you for the rest of eternity?"

"You left your bag at home and..." Scott reached into the bag pulling out the cellphone. "This too. I knew if I didn't check in with you at the time you said then i wouldn't survive the night."

"Anddd, he just couldn't wait to see his most favorite mom in the world." Stiles sang, making Melissa scoff.

"Nice try but you're not getting out of this." Melissa dismissed, taking her bag and looking through it. "Huh, i never forget my bag. I guess today has just been full of weirdness."

"Why do you say that?" Scott questioned as Stiles' eyes wandered. He stared off at the two deputy's posted in front of one of the room doors, engaged in a conversation Stiles was desperate to hear.
