Lydia peered around the dance floor, seeing no sign of Jackson anywhere. Stiles could see the girl frantically peering each and every way as she stepped away from him.

"You okay?" He questioned his date.

"Just need to take a break." She lied, pulling a forceful smile to try to convince the boy. It wasn't hard to read through it. She'd been just as frantic throughout the entire dance and he couldn't ignore it anymore seeing as how clearly it was written all over her face.

"You mean you need to find Jackson." He offered. He didn't need her to respond to know but she nodded. "I get it," Stiles assured, ignoring the hit to his gut. So he did the only thing he could. He helped her out of the dance floor and stood by as she went to her ex.

"I would dance if I didn't have cru-" Destiny felt someone hit her shoulder as they pushed past her. She looked back to them, recognizing the leaving figure with her strawberry-blonde hair and silver dress. She watched as Lydia made her way through the crowd of students and out a side exit door without looking back. "What the-" Destiny mumbled under her breath, searching around the dance floor until she spotted the lonely figure with a familiar striped tie, helplessly dropping into a seat. Crap.

"Geez, can you stop stalking me already?" Stiles looked up, seeing the girl standing in front of him in a familiar red dress and pair of crutches. He chuckled as Destiny took a seat beside him, loudly sighing as she did so. "You wanna trade?" Destiny offered, holding out her crutches and pointing to his sad plate of a cookie and a wrapped chocolate bar.

"Definitely not." He teased looking at her crutches and exhausted state.

"Too bad," Destiny said, handing him her crutches and still taking the plate.

"At least let me have the chocolate." He urged, taking the plate and leaving the cookie for her. Destiny scoffed, taking a bite from the cookie before tasting the bitter taste. She stopped chewing as she looked down at the cookie with a disgusted face.

"It's good huh?" Stiles said, hiding the smile at the edge of his lips.

"No," Destiny answered immediately, spitting the cookie into the plate. "Ughhh. Why didn't you tell me?" She urged, trying to wipe off the taste from her tongue with a napkin.

"Because then I wouldn't have gotten to see that...or got to eat this chocolate," Stiles said before taking a big bite from the bar.

"Wow, I see how it is," Destiny whined, setting aside the plate. "Especially after I came to keep you company."

"You didn't have to-"

"But I did. Because I'm amazing!" She sang proudly.

"I knew Lydia didn't want to do this in the first place so..." He began sadly.

"Her loss?" She finished. "Yes, it is her loss, Stiles," Destiny confirmed, making him shake his head with a smile as they both looked back out to the dancing students around the gym.
