Sabrina glanced back and forth through the halls, looking down at her phone. Still no response from Destiny. She felt strange walking through the barren halls of Beacon Hills High School at this time of night. After she dropped off Gia and Maria back at the house, Adam had to get to work. Gia admitted she couldn't help being curious about his work and Adam said he would need some help so Adam offered her to come along. It was also then that Rosa reminded everyone about Destiny getting out of lacrosse tryouts. So Sabrina drove Adam and Gia to work. From there, she would head to the school to pick up Destiny. Now that she had done all that, the only problem was finding where the hell Destiny was!
It would've been comforting to have the lighting through the halls to guide her but at this time, even those were off. It was only the outside lamps casting enough light into the halls that Sabrina wouldn't be wandering in complete darkness. Without them, Sabrina would've never even dared to go inside the halls. Still, she couldn't help but feel like she wasn't supposed to be walking along this vinyl tile that managed to echo each step of her (slightly torn) white jordans;a gift from her mom and dad.
Though it'd been a few days, the homesick feeling stirring inside of her made her miss her parents here and there. She hoped it didn't worsen too much, but the reminder of them always came at the quietest of times. The most significant of the sensations that troubled her was when she'd gotten to the house. Something about walking into this complete random home in a completely random place didn't sit well with her. Out of all the girls, she'd probably been the only one to leave on good terms. Then again, none of the others had been as open about their reasons for leaving. Sabrina could only assume that none of their reasons for leaving were as happy considering no one had even mentioned calling home. That or the fact they had been so adamant about not getting caught back at the hospital. Even though Gia had really only been direct about not going back, she could read the same feelings in the other girls. After all, these feelings were enough to push them through that forest and continue on even after what had happened back there. She didn't even want to think back to that. She had enough anxiousness built up in her without remembering that night.
So understanding their adamancy to not go back, she couldn't help push down her own feelings of homesickness. She couldn't be that kid that misses their mommy or daddy. Being here, felt so serious and...just uncomfortable. Though she'd come to an agreement with her parents on leaving, now it felt wrong to be here. This place felt so strange and everything she'd prepared for had practically gone out the window from the first day.
Sabrina listened for the loud music she could hear blaring down the hallway. She had no idea if that was Destiny but it meant some sign of life so that was probably her best chance right about now. She followed it down the hall, the loud electric beat being nowhere near any music Sabrina had the taste for. Just as she was nearing a door labeled with the words LOCKER ROOM in white letters, the loud blaring music just cut off. Sabrina stopped for a second. Her eyes looked around as if she'd been caught doing something. With the still silence of the school, she could hear the voices coming from inside the locker room. She stood by the door, peering in a little. She had no idea if someone was changing in there, but even she knew that standing here wasn't the best plan either.
"I like your taste in music." Sabrina heard one deep voice echo clearly enough that it almost scared her. Why was she so jumpy? "I haven't heard this one in a long time." The electric music blared again into the confines of the locker room.
