{12} The Girl

'There is a girl who says she has stomach pain can you come check on her?'

'Yes of course. Lead the way' I say grabbing my supply bag and following the women.

We end up right next to the hunters main sector and I spot Taehyung with a few men organising some collected supplies.

I carry on following the women until we come across a younger girl sat down with her hands holding her abdomen.

'Hey' I say crouching down. 'Can you tell me your name?'

'It's Katie' she says but I can only just hear her over some random man's shouts.

'What's wrong with her doc? I bet she is just being a pussy again!'

'Sorry who are you?' I say getting slightly agitated at the man's tone.

'I'm her boyfriend but that doesn't matter now what's wrong with her?' He says getting even more angry.

I turn back to the girl and proceed to ask her a few questions.

'Can you show me where it hurts?' She points to the very bottom of her stomach area.

'Have you eaten anything you could be allergic to or have you been hit by something recently, maybe fallen over or something like that?'

She shakes her head.

'What's taking so long?' The boyfriend asks, face red with anger.

'Ok I'm going to need to take you to the medical block for some privacy. Can you walk?'

She nods and slowly stands up. I get her to follow Lily who came with me and I look back to see Taehyung looking concerned.

I shrug my shoulders also a bit confused because there seems to be no obvious reason for this to happen.

I start to follow them back but stop when I notice the man is following us.

'I'm sorry you can't be there with her. It's a private check up.' He seems very pissed off but leaves anyway back to his work.

Upon arriving at the ward, she is laid down and I begin the check up.

'Ok I'm going to press on your belly and I want you to tell me if it hurts.' She nods and I start to apply a small amount of pressure, feeling for any abnormalities in her organs.

Nothing seems to be causing her pain or shows signs of anything out of the ordinary so I ask the one question I have remaining.

'Have you been sexually active in the past few days?'

She nods hesitantly, seeming very nervous.

'Was it consensual?... don't worry everything discussed here does not leave this room unless you want it to.'

She begins to tear up.

'I know this is a hard topic to discuss' I say holding her arm in comfort. 'But I need to know how many times it occurred.'

'S-seven' she stutters out, leaning into my open embrace.

This girl can't be any older then 18 and her allocated couple has been raping her 7 times during two day!

I feel so bad for this girl and I had a feeling this was the case when her 'boyfriend' seemed very aggressive.

'Was any protection involved?' I ask softly as she sobs in my arms and once again shakes her head.

'Don't worry. I won't let that man near you again.' I whisper as she begins to calm down.

'But I must ask, in order for him to be punished, I have tell Mr Kim about what has happened. And I need you permission in order to do that.

I completely understand if you say no but please for the sake of your safety and others, let me tell him.'

'What's to stop him from hurting me, he threatens me all the time and no one can stop him.'

'That is the kind of thing I can discuss with the leading council... what if you were there too. What if you help decide everything and we don't take any action without your agreeing to it?'

'Ok' she finally agrees after a little persuasion.

'In the mean time, you can stay in my room. I will use the excuse of having to see if any of your symptoms worsen.'

I hand her my spare key card to the room and Jess escorts her up.
'Jess if she wants you there you can stay with her.' She nods and they walk off.

'Gosh I feel sorry for her' Lily says as I once again pack up my supplies.

'I know, I don't know what the hell we are going to do. He shouldn't be allowed freedom but how are we supposed to punish that.'

'Well if I were you I would get him kicked out. Just send him on his way to fend for himself.'

'I wish we could do that but every life is important. And if we all just started punishing everyone like that, humanity wouldn't survive.'

We spend the rest of the day discussing what the hell we are supposed to be doing in this life and finally it's dinner time.

I grab Katie's food while I get Jess's couple to bring her's up to my room.

After visiting them for a few minutes, I leave them to relax and eat so I make my way back to the food hall.

'Baby!' Taehyung shouts from behind.

I quickly turn around to see him all sweaty and running up to me.

'Come here.' He says pulling me into his embrace. I laugh and cringe as his hot sweaty body goes up against mine.

'Come on let's get some food.' I say taking his hand and making our way towards the food hall again.

'Hey where the hell is my girlfriend?!' The angry man from before turns up.

'She is resting an-' he cuts me off.

'I don't care! where is she!?' He shouts getting uncomfortably close to me.

'HEY BACK OFF!' Taehyung says blocking his way from approaching me any further.

'What did she say about me huh?! It's lies whatever it is!' He shouts trying to get passed Tae...
