It was a quiet walk to Central Park. Taehyung's hand was firmly held around mine and it was eerie.

My eyes took in the looted buildings, the myriad of spray painted words and designs and the shattered glass.

It was scary but I was using it as a way to distract myself from thoughts.

It was as if you could hear all the leading council second guessing their choice to do this.

Were we really going to kill a man. Yes he killed someone first but two wrongs aren't going to bring Katie back.

However it will spark fear which is both good and bad. Bad because people may retaliate and think we are living in a dictated society but good because hopefully nothing like what happened will occur again.

Everyone's thoughts were similar to mine but there is no turning back now.

Right on cue a nasty cramp snuck it's way into my nervous system and it made me wince slightly.

Suck it up Y/N, there are bigger things to worry about then your uterus contracting and cutting off its oxygen supply slightly, meaning it's literally trying to suffocate it's self...

Ow

Just take your mind off it Y/N, think about Taehyung, he's good at... distracting you.

'Tae, are you ok?' I ask spotting his knitted eyebrows and an uncomfortable glare at something infront.

I follow his eyes forward to see the killer tied up against one of the remaining trees.

Half of them were burnt down by vandals in the panic of the virus but we were stood in a spot where everything was still green.

It was beautiful unlike the act that is about to be taken place.

If I sat in this area for a few minutes I could imagine I would forget what kind of a world we live in.

It seemed peaceful but that was hugely contrasted by the muffled shouts from the man behind the cloth that covered his mouth.

Naturally, all the witnesses created a circle in which they stood around the man.

We were a good 20 feet away from him. Far enough that we weren't in danger of being shot but close enough so we could see and hear everything that was about happen.

Mr Kim stood some what in the middle of the circle and began to read out a list of charges the man had and what his punishment would be.

It was frightening how ritualistic he sounded. It made it seem he had been preparing for this to happen so much longer ago then we had.

'My son' he says holding out a gun towards Tae who was breathing slightly heavily and had a strong arm wrapped around my waist.

I look up to his face as he gives me a gentle squeeze on my hip then steps forward into the circle.

He takes the gun and swaps places with his father before checking the gun is loaded.

I know I should be focusing on the situation but the way he handled the gun with ease and his strong stance was such an attractive sight.

The man's muffled cries become loader as Tae aims straight at him.

His brow cocks as he looks my way. Yeah I know I know you want me to turn around.

I do so quickly, earning a whisper that makes my hair stand on edge and I seem to be the only on to hear it.

'Good girl'

His deep voice made my stomach turn but in a good way. It made me feel nervous but excited.

That didn't last long when a sharp pop sound echoed through the park and made birds become disturbed and fly away.

I turn around slowly, no longer hearing the pleads from the man.

Tae nods to me as I too enter the circle and approach the body. The blood isn't even a tenth of the severity I had seen before.

Gun shot wounds were a common occurrence in the hospital back home so it was nothing new.

'Dead' I announce as I pull my fingers away from the cold neck of the murderer.

There was a silence as the news settled into everyone.

Taehyung uses two fingers to beckon me closer to him and away from the body.

He holds me close as if he hadn't just not only killed a man but had the most accurate shot that went straight in between his eyebrows.

It. Was. Hot.

'Let's return to base and everyone can relax this afternoon. I thank you all for volunteering to watch over this unfortunate happening.'

Mr Kim says breaking the silence which makes the small crowd dissipate and head back into the city.

Taehyung's attention remained on me as a rest my head on his chest.

He places a gentle kiss on my forehead before pulling me out of the wooded area and towards the others.

'Thank you for turning away' he says breaking the silence.

'It's ok, I understand why you wanted me too. You're ok now right?' I ask squeezing his hand a little.

He nods then speaks up. 'Yeah, I'm good. It's been a while since I've had a gun in my hand.'

'Taehyung' Mr Kim interrupted as we entered the main building.

It was quiet because everyone was working so his voice echoed easily.

'You did good son. I know no one else would have stood up to the task so thank you.

I just need to speak to Y/N for a little. Go up to your room and I'm sure she will be up in a few minutes.'

Why would he want to speak to me is the only thing my brain could question as Taehyung looked equally as confused.

However he obeys his father but not forgetting to plant a kiss on my cheek before going.

'See you in a bit' he whispers and just like that he was gone.

'Is there something wrong?' I ask turning my attention to Mr Kim...
