Not knowing where to go, Nico followed the crowd. That was something he would never do on a regular basis. Everyone poured out of their rooms and rushed down the flight of stairs that led to the main hall. They turned to the balcony, where they had their dinner the night before. Nico followed, but stayed behind, about twenty feet behind.

The buffet table from the night before was stacked with breakfast entrees. From ordinary pancakes and eggs to a large bucket of Jell-O. Nico went to grab his food last. That wasn't hard because the others rushed at it like starving wolves.

Carter stood from his chair. Everyone paused and turned their attention to him. That gesture reminded Nico of Chiron, the activities director at camp. "Everyone, I'd like to go over our schedule for today. After lunch we will split into groups and buy our own supplies, I will announce the groups at lunch. Also, I'd like to introduce you to Nico Di Angelo. You probably noticed him here yesterday," Carter said.

He swept his hand in Nico's direction. Everyone looked at him, some wore welcoming smiles, other's looked at him puzzled. Nico held his head high and tried to look confident. He'd gotten a lot of practice from the times Annabeth took him to her office. All the other employees would look at him with disdain, as if he was unworthy of being there. Sadly, all those times Annabeth would make each and every one of them feel ashamed. Now he had to show all the magicians here that he was just like them and could handle things himself.

"Nico will not only be training here, but he will also be teaching you about the other pantheons of gods," Carter continued. "There's nothing planned for this morning, so you relax until noon."

Everyone left after breakfast. Carter had asked Nico to meet him in the library. Nico followed Carter through a pair of large doors, inside was a large collection of books that could rival Athena's personal library in Olympus.

They walked down the flight of stairs that led to the center of the library, a Brazilian girl sat behind the reception desk, acting like a librarian. Carter walked over to the desk.

The girl looked up from the book. "Good morning, Carter. Hi Nico, I'm Cleo," she introduced herself while handing Carter a scroll. "One of the shabti brought me this, this morning. It's not in any of the languages I could read, also Sadie's waiting for you guys in the backroom." Cleo pointed to a large shelf or scrolls.

Carter nodded and walked over to the shelf. Nico followed. "You can go first. Just imagine going through a door and you should appear in the backroom," Carter instructed.

"What if I don't?" Nico asked.

"Um . . . then you'll bump into the shelf," Carter said while scratching his head.

Nico shrugged. He imagined a door, and walked forward. The shelf seemed to melt around him, after walking a few feet, he appeared at the other side. He entered a pure white room, white walls, white floor, white ceiling, white table, white chairs, white everything. It bothered Nico so much he was sure he'd lose his eyesight. The only thing not pure white was Sadie, who was impatiently pacing the room. She wore a white shirt and light blue jeans, with black combat boots. She changed the color of the streaks in her hair to black.

Sadie looked up, she stopped pacing the room. She placed her hands on her hips and gave them a scowl. "About time," she huffed.

"That's Miss Patient for you," mumbled Carter as he passed Nico and took a seat at the table.

Nico couldn't help but smirk. Sadie didn't seem to notice, she took the seat farthest from her brother. That left one seat for Nico. He sat down and eyed the siblings expectantly.

Sadie pulled out a scroll and pushed it toward Nico. "Can you read it?" she asked.

Nico looked down at the scroll. It was a prophecy written in Ancient Greek. "Yeah, it's another prophecy," he replied trying to keep his anger under control. Why did the gods have to be so unfair?

"Well . . . read it then." Sadie spoke like the patient person she was. Carter pulled out a pen and paper.

Nico forced his eyes to meet the prophecy and translated it.

"Travel north, find the escaped souls

Go south, recruit the magic bearers

To the west, call on the empire

The King and the Assistant

Shall work as one

Or the Father's awakening

Shall end the next sunrise"

Nico looked up from the scroll. "That doesn't rhyme, it's unlike all the other prophecies I heard."

"No, it's more like a set of instructions," concluded Carter. "A set of instructions for someone. But who?"

Nico mind started racing. "An empire west, that could be the Romans in New Rome. Magic bearers south, that must be you guys. But escaped souls in the north?" Nico shook his head. If there were any escaped souls, Hades would've sent Nico on a quest to track them down.

"Wait, it could also mean in the old days," Carter suggested. He reached his hand out in front of him and it disappeared. A moment later his hand reappeared and with it a map. Carter spread the map on the table. "See, back then, Rome is in Italy. Magicians live in Egypt. And the souls are from somewhere north. So this must come from somewhere in the middle."

"Like Greece," Sadie pointed out. "In case you guys haven't noticed, this whole prophecy is written in Greek and here you two are, trying to figure out who it is for."

Carter ignored her indirect insult. "And if we're talking about present-day here, that means . . . Manhattan."

Nico nodded. "Camp Jupiter is in California, which is west of Manhattan. Brooklyn House is south of Manhattan. So the other place must be north of Manhattan. But where? Is there like another pantheon of gods we don't know about?"

Sadie shrugged. "Perhaps there is, I mean, seriously first Greeks, then Romans! I wouldn't be surprised if Annabeth suddenly busted in and told us she had relatives that are from another pantheon of gods."

Nico and Carter gave her a weird look, as if wondering how she had thought of that.

"What?" Sadie snapped.

"You know what, we should just wait for now. Perhaps we'll come across some information somewhere along the way," Carter suggested. "For now this meeting will be on hold, we shouldn't tell anyone about it, but I'll inform Zia on it and see if she knows anything. I'll also reach out to Annabeth and . . . maybe she'll introduce us to her relatives from another world," he finished sarcastically.

Sadie rolled her eyes. "Whatever, Chicken Boy. I'll show Nico around, you go and do the contacting. Also I think Felix needs some help with his penguins," she added. "Come on Di Angelo, you're getting the VIP tour of Brooklyn House from the one and only Sadie Kane," she said.
