Ashfall

Woohoo our first OC time. The wheel landed on mah boi Ashfall (though it's been so long since I've used him I honestly don't remember much about him oof). I'm gonna have fun attempting this one.

It was another bland day on the ARK. Not much fun, not much excitement, and ESPECIALLY not much sun. It was a cloudy and gloomy day, and Ashfall couldn't bear to get his fur wet again. After the incident with those Sorna Raptors (he wasn't sure why his companion Arabella called them that) and the river with the Mega Piranha, he hasn't wanted to go near water.

And he was just over his fear, too.

That, unfortunately, meant rain, too. While he was more accustomed to rain than Arabella was, he still couldn't stand the wetness on his heavy fur coat. He was built for snow and ice, not stupid rain. He shivered at the thought of water.

Arabella was on the other side of their base with the forge, so he was alone with his Compy, Skitter. Skitter was a great companion when he was alone, and he reminded him of the times back on Mobius.

The times he missed. But, he wasn't about to dread on those all day. Instead, Ashfall decided to make their home a warm, comfortable place to be. He made sure not to make it too warm, otherwise he might just burn up himself. He started the fireplace and laid down a freshly made shag rug for him and Skitter to sit on. The saber cat also made sure to prepare snacks, and a spot for Arabella whenever she braved the rain back to their main home.

"Maybe we should install a roofed hallway to the forge." He said to Skitter, who promptly chirped. "Yeah, I thought you'd like that idea."

While there wasn't a TV stand or a TV for them to watch cartoons on, Ashfall just enjoyed snuggling up with his tiny reptilian buddy on the carpet in front of the fireplace.

So what if sabertooth tigers were made for cold? This was luxury!

Skitter seemed to agree, as he had stuffed himself silly on the raw meat Ashfall had provided for him. The hours slipped away as Ashfall lounged around by the fire. He made sure to keep it stocked up with sparkpowder, and he relished in the sweet heat wafting around the house. He was pleased to see that Skitter was all comfy in his spot against Ashfall's chest, and turned his head to look out the window.

The clouds were clearing, and the rain was coming to a halt. Ashfall could hear Arabella run into the house and slam the door in the other room. He knew he should go gather more resources and help around the base, but he was too content where he was, and he didn't have the heart to wake the sleeping Skitter.

That, and there was a heavy fog starting to roll in. A finishing touch to all the rain here in the ARK. With it, he wouldn't be able to see his hands in front of him, let alone the Mega Piranha-filled river.

Nah, today was his hang-out day with Skitter, and he was gonna keep it that way.
