(a/n: ay ay ay! Here we go! The moment you have been waiting for: it's heist time. I thank you all for your patience and let the show begin!)
Y/N sat on the ledge of the rooftops of YGM Corporations, a key-necklace rolling between his fingers. He gazed intently at its sheen as the night light of New York gently glinted off its brass surface.
Jeongyeon laid a comforting hand on his shoulder. "Ready?"
Y/N quickly stuffed the necklace back under his shirt.
"Alright, everyone. Squad on the roof; Yoojin is en-route."
Y/N stood, gazing back off the ledge on the rooftops of YGM Corporations, and adjusted the mic piece into his ear.
"Clear comms."
Y/N turned around to see the remaining team adjusting the comms in their ears. V put up a thumbs-up.
"Pisces, comms cleared."
Rosé finished tucking her hair into a solid black hairnet.
"Pisces 2, comms cleared."
Unlike Rosé, Jennie shook her black wavy hair loose, allowing it to cover parts of her face. With inky-black goggles masking her eyes, Jennie pulled up a matching black leather half-mask over her mouth.
"Pallas, comms cleared," she reported in a deeper, gravelly voice.
A chill crawled up Y/N's spine. The mask clearly did something to cloak her voice, distorting it into something more sinister.
Behind Jennie, Jeongyeon blew into her mic, causing Y/N to jerk back into focus.
"Argus, comms cleared."
Far below them on the ground floor, Dahyun walked onto the welcoming red carpet under the grand majestic awning that stretched above her as she sauntered into the building. Streams of businessmen and elites walked beside her with an air of dignity and high-class but none quite gave off a radiant aura like Dahyun, partially due to her practically glowing dress. Dahyun wore a rather exposing outfit: a golden, sleeveless dress, adorned with circular silver and gold sequin patterns, light refracting across her body as if she had donned an attire of countless diamonds. Her snow-white skin accompanied the glistening dress in bringing out her brunette hair and her matching dark brown eyes, illuminating her skin in an almost-heavenly glow.
"Yoojin, comms cleared," she mumbled as she walked up the stairs, her black curls bouncing with each step.
She had spotted the all-too-friendly Jimin waving at her from the ballroom doors with a big smile plastered on his face. She took the opportunity to quickly send one back at him.
"Lee Yoojin," said Jimin with an elaborate bow. He extended a hand to Dahyun. "Shall we go in?"
Dahyun let out a big toothy smile and walked in, arm in arm with Jimin.
"Alright, showtime," said Y/N. "On my count."
V tugged his rappelling rig and Jeongyeon's, double-checking their tension. Jeongyeon secured a duffel bag to her back.
"We are on the count: Five..."
V separated from the company at the roof entrance, followed by a nervous Jeongyeon, and walked towards the edge of the building.
"Four... Three..."
V peered off the edge and took a couple of steps back. Jeongyeon stood at the ledge, peering down the 150-meter building and gulped.
"Two... One..."
V took a deep breath and pushed Jeongyeon off.
"Zero."
