"We're back."
Two figures stumbled into the loft as the rest of the crew watched them patiently from the couch.
Jennie scanned up and down the little Dahyun tucked behind Y/N. "Hm. She looks cute."
"About time," Rosé said, gently caressing the head of a sleepy V. "We were starting to get a little bored."
"I know, I know," Y/N sharply replied. "She was difficult to convince."
"Met your maker, eh?" mocked Jeongyeon.
"Haha, real funny."
Y/N turned to Dahyun and extended his arm to the crew.
"Kim Dahyun, meet the crew. We got Pisces: V, the sleeping infiltration specialist, and Park Rosé, the red-head over there, our safe technician. Kim Jennie, bundled up on the recliner over there, is our hitman. And, lastly," Y/N ruffled his hand through Jeongyeon's hair. "This is Yoo Jeongyeon. Hacker."
He turned to the group and introduced Dahyun. "Everyone, this is Kim Dahyun. She is going to be our actress."
"Actress, my ass," retorted Jennie. "She can't act her way out of a trash bag."
"Ignore her," Y/N whispered to Dahyun. "She's always grumpy like that. Nothing can be done about it."
"I heard that."
"I'm sorry, Y/N," said Rosé. "But I'm gonna have to go with Jennie on this one. After that performance, I can't trust her ability to be our actress."
"What do you want me to do?" asked Y/N. "Some crazy college frat haze?"
"Maybe. The point is we don't trust in her abilities. Not yet, at least."
"Fine." Y/N fished through his wallet. "Dahyun, purse please."
Dahyun hesitantly handed it over.
"Double the amount of money that I give you in the next hour without stealing, robbing, etc, using only the cash I give you. All the money you need to earn must be given willingly."
He took out a $20 bill and placed it in her hand. Jeongyeon walked over and fitted a pair of glasses over Dahyun's eyes.
"Wireless camera glasses. We see what you see, we hear what you hear, and we will be able to speak to you through it. The clock starts now!" he shouted as he pushed Dahyun out of the door.
Y/N swung around. "Jeongyeon, hook up the feed to the TV."
The TV screen flickered on, static roaring from the speakers. It was soon replaced by a first-person perspective view of Dahyun in the descending elevator. In her hands was the 20 dollar bill Y/N gave her. She stared at it in her hand, as if contemplating her next move.
"Jeongyeon, hook up my headset to her feed and pass it to me."
Jeongyeon tossed over his wireless headset and set the receiver jack into a complicated machine next to the TV screen.
"How does that even work?" asked V groggily.
"Bone conduction. Works off the vibrations from her jaw. You can hear virtually everything."
