2 years later...
"Junior year Ame! Get UP!" Australia screamed into America's ear as the said country jolted into the air from fright. He landed on his soft carpet with a thud, groaning at the impact.
"What the hell Aussie??" America whined as he rubbed his sore back which he had landed on.
Meanwhile, Australia was just laughing, "Junior year bro. I'll be waking you up from now on since can-man graduated last year."
"Didn't have to do it that way," America grumbled but still nodded thankfully at Australia.
"See ya downstairs. We're leaving soon." Australia grinned as he walked out of America's room to mind his own business.
America tugged his grey shirt over his head and flung it into the laundry basket across the room. He grabbed a pastel yellow shirt instead of a usual grey or black one and put it on. It had a picture of a sun on the top right corner. He decided to pair it with some light blue denim jeans and jacket.
He slid down the Bannister to see New Zealand fighting with Australia.
"Woah Woah what's happening here?" America asked as he butted in.
"Stay out of this America. This isn't your fight." Australia growled. America could smell the warning pheromones coming from Australia.
He put his hands up as he went to get France or Britain to break up their fight. New Zealand was a delta. That left America being the only non-alpha in the family. This meant that sometimes his brothers would look down on him. It wasn't exactly their fault. Instincts he guessed. When his parents had found out he was a beta, they were disappointed but were still accepting he was glad for having such great parents.
Even though he was a beta, he was almost as strong as his alpha friends. That was probably the only reason he wasn't being bullied once in a while like the other betas or regularly like omegas.
"Uh, mom. Aussie is doing the whole Alpha thing to Kiwi." America announced to his mom who was currently in the kitchen.
"Oh shoot! Thanks, honey, I'll deal with it. Go eat your breakfast and head to school first." France immediately turned off the stove and wiped her hands, rushing out of the kitchen.
America decided to finish up the eggs and bacon on the stove. He made sure the eggs were a runny and thick (thiccc) consistency before taking it off the stove and onto the plates. He did the same with the bacon before bringing the plates to the table to see Australia and New Zealand getting lectured in the living room.
He simply shot Australia a 'hah. Serves you right.' look before slipping on his high tops and heading out.
He headed to Russia's house to wait for him, Germany and the Japan twins to arrive. It wasn't long before he heard some Russian and the front door open. He looked up to see the Russian alpha turning to talk to someone in the house in Russian. His younger sister, Belarus raced past Russia to America.
"America! Where's Kiwi??" She smiled happily.
"Uhm..getting lectured. He uh got into a fight with Aussie, do you want to wait for him?" America explained.
"Yeah sure. I'll wait. Besides Ukraine is still asleep. She stayed up all night talking to Canada!" Belarus smiled.
America chuckled, "Really huh? I'll be sure to tease moose man about it when I get home after school."
Belarus gave a cheeky grin as she headed back into the house. Soon after she entered, a tired and dishevelled Germany came stumbling through the door.
America quickly rushed up to him. He nagged the german Alpha about staying up late while fixing his tie, hair and adjusting his glasses. Motherly instinct. Russia helped Germany arrange his books neatly into his bag. Germany muttered a tired thank to the 2 as they started to make their way to school, seeing Japan and nekomi running up to them.
They made their way to school together, talking about random things. They split up to get to their classes, Russia heading to 306 with Russia, Japan with Germany and Nekomi going off to her own class.
It was a miracle Russia, America South and Philip had stayed in similar classes. It was especially crucial for Philip since his first heat about half a year ago. With 2 alphas to tell others to back off and a beta friend to help with those situations made Philip's first few heats manageable. Slowly his heats got under control. However, being an attractive male omega brought a lot of alphas to ask to be his mate. He turned all of them down. He wasn't ready for a mate yet.
They had all learnt about their own secondary genders last year and since then quite a number of people had already found mates, but most people hadn't.
"Ame! Russ!" South grinned as he tackled America and Russia in a hug. America laughed and returned the gesture, Russia looked done with South. Even though America had been taller than South 2 years ago, South had grown taller than him due to his Alpha genes.
"South! Ame! Russ!" the trio turned around to see an adorable Philippines make his way to them, smiling and waving.
"He's goddamn precious" America mumbled. South nodded in agreement, Russia did the same.
"Hey, Philip!" South smiled as he embraced the shorter country.
"Hey South, Junior year guys! Are you guys excited?" Philip smiled.
"No."
"Not really."
"Hell yeah! wait what-" South and Philip turned to look at America and Russia who looked so done with school.
"Hey no assigned seats, that's a good start." America changed the topic.
"Sit together?" Philip asked.
"I thought that wasn't even an option anymore." South raised an eyebrow, "it's compulsory."
America snorted Philip giggled Russia sighed and smiled.
"There are four seats at the back, dibs on the window seat!" America yelled as he made his way to his favoured window seat. Second last row, right next to the window.
"Hey! Not fair!" South chased for the seat but America got there first. Russia sat down behind him, Philip on his right and South next to Russia, he sulked in defeat.
