Hot. America woke up to his whole world on fire. The room was burning. He was burning. Everything felt so warm and stuffy. It was like his experience in school but worse. He also realized Russia was no longer in his room.
America whimpered as he crawled out from under his covers in an attempt to cool down. He lowered his shaking body to the soft carpet on the floor. He tried to stand in an attempt to get to the bathroom but his legs would not listen to him. He was suddenly hit with an immobilizing pain in his abdomen. He felt his limbs lose their strength and he whimpered, sweating furiously, he fell back to the carpet.
The pain slowly subsided and just when he thought it was all over, he was hit with another ache. It wasn't a muscle ache or a headache. It was an ache to be touched and loved by someone, to be held and kissed. He groaned as his brain started getting fuzzy, it was getting harder to think. His body urged him to go out and find someone to cuddle with, his brain said otherwise. his body whimpered at being unable to find someone to satisfy his needs. He felt a warm liquid begin to pool between his legs. He shifted uncomfortably.
He heard footsteps and some voices. His bedroom door opened with a bang. He turned his head to the door, trying to see past the haze in his mind and identify who it was. It was third and Ukraine. They blurred out again as he entered another daze. He heard some words being exchanged by the 2, but he could barely comprehend it with his wonky brain.
He felt himself being lifted back onto his bed, he relaxed into the cool touch.
.
.
Russia woke up to a rather peculiar smell flooding his senses. The ocean. He felt his inner alpha stir. Estonia's scent was not the ocean and definitely did not have such an effect on him. Third, didn't match the description either. The only other omega in the house was America.
Oh blyat. Russia groaned as the smell intensified. He growled lowly as he restrained himself from stomping all the way to the American's room and just taking him. He slowly got up, covering his nose, trying not to inhale the addictive scent. He could sense the distress in the pheromones America was giving off.
He walked next door to find Ukraine. He pounded on the door, hoping Ukraine would wake up quickly. The scent was a lot stronger outside and Russia didn't know how long he could keep himself from succumbing to temptation.
It took a while but a grumpy Ukraine opened the door, messy bed hair and all. He opened his mouth to ask what Russia was doing waking him up at 2 am in the morning. Then he too was hit by the American's scent and immediately sprung awake. He pushed Russia back into his room, telling him to lock it. He ran to get Third and Estonia.
Third was pretty alarmed while Estonia offered to make sure none of her brothers came for America while they took care of him.
Third and Ukraine opened the door to find the freedom country sitting on the ground, back against the bed and whimpering. He was confused, frustrated and hot.
"Ukraine, we need to bring his temperature down, lay him on his bed and try to calm him down. The stress isn't good for his body."
"Okay." Ukraine watched Third rush off in the direction of the kitchen. He headed in and the scent got stronger. Even he was affected by it a little. It must've been torture for Russia to wake him up.
He lifted the very warm American off the floor and onto the bed while trying to release calming pheromones into the air to calm the stressed omega down. It seemed to be working for his heart rate was starting to slow a little. He looked around the room for the American's suppressants. finding them conveniently placed on the dresser. Third rushed in with a cool water bottle to bring his fever down as well as a glass of water.
"America, you've gotta take your suppressants."Third sighed as he placed the cold pack on America's head.
"Ngh, hah." America struggled to reply. But he moved his quivering hand up to take the medicine. Ukraine dropped a suppressant and a painkiller into his hands. He used the glass of water to swallow it down before slumping back into bed.
Ukraine helped apply a few scent blocker patches onto America's scent glands before Third rushed him off to go back to sleep. The scent got less intense and more mellow.
Third spent the night taking care and monitoring America. And America spent the next few days in Russia's house, cooped up in his room. Sometimes Third, Estonia or Ukraine would pop by Russia's room asking for a jacket or blanket for America. He wasn't sure what the American needed it for, but he gave them up. Germany eventually found out. He promised to keep it a secret though. Everyone in the house had gotten used to running around under Third's instructions. Slowly the family started growing fond of the American omega.
During this time, America had not gone to school at all, causing his friends to start bothering his siblings for answers. Poor Australia and New Zealand were not prepared for them. Russia and Germany stuck up for them.
Almost a week after the American had arrived, it was time for him to leave. America had just ended his last wave of heat and there didn't seem to be any reoccurring symptoms of another wave coming any time soon.
America felt better, finally being able to understand what was going on with his body. He slowly learnt to accept his secondary gender, he was still upset about it though. The heat itself was torturous and America was glad he managed to get through it. Although he didn't eat or drink much during his heat, so he was pretty weak after it had ended.
"Are you okay?" Russia asked nervously seeing America struggling to get up.
"Y-yea. Just really hungry and tired. I can't wait to go home." America sighed finally getting on his own 2 feet.
Russia watched America struggle to get out of the room.
"You know it might be faster if I just did this." Russia bent down and swiftly scooped the small and now much lighter American into his arms.
"Ruski!" America yelped in surprise.
"Where to Captain?" Russia joked.
"To MacDonalds!" America decided to play along.
"Alright."
"Wait really?"
