Uhm Philip. I think America might be going through heat." Poland said, eye filled with worry.

"What do you mean? He's clearly a beta. There's no way."

"He might have been wrongly identified or his hormones changed. But that was definitely a heat. Sniff him." Poland explained.

Philip sniffed America slightly. Oh god, he was right. The smell of strawberry and the beach filled his senses. Philip could tell the heat was very intense. It must've been torture for the American country.

"We have to take him to the sickbay now. He just passed out and that's never a good sign for anyone in heat."

Philip bit his lips, "what do you suggest we do? We can't just carry him across the campus with him smelling like that. Alphas will be after us. Besides we're omega too."

Poland furrowed his eyebrows. This was gonna be tough.

"Wait here I'll go get the nurse." Poland decided. Philip nodded as he watched Poland dash out of the bathroom.

He put an out of order sign on the bathroom door to prevent alphas from coming in before lugging America's heavy body to a sitting position on the toilet seat.

He took off his bandana and used it as a  cloth to soak up the cool tap water. He used it as an ice pack, placing it on America's burning forehead. He could've sworn he heard it sizzle. He repeated this many time in an attempt to bring America's body temperature and fever down. It wasn't working very effectively.

Thankfully the nurse arrived not long after Poland had left. Both were out of breath.

"I've gotten teachers to clear the hallways, let me see his temperature."

The nurse stepped forward and placed a hand on America's forehead.

"That is way too warm for it to be healthy." He groaned as he turned around, "you call an ambulance, you get a teacher. A beta one if possible."

Philip nodded and rushed off as Poland took out his phone fumbling to call the emergency service.

"He's supposed to be a beta right?"

Poland nodded and watched as the nurse sighed exasperatedly.

American did not come to class for the rest of the day. Phillip and Poland returned but refused to give any information other than him being fine.

This caused his alpha friends to worry more. South and Germany had a growing suspicion that America was an omega. Russia and the japan twins were pretty oblivious to that being possible...

"Hi, sorry Ms, but I'm here to get Australia"  Australia's head shot up upon hearing his name. He saw New Zealand at the doorway, excuse slip in his hand.

"Alright then, Australia, I'll get the class rep to inform you of your homework. You may leave." the young female teacher sighed as she went back to reading.

Australia could feel everyone's eyes on him as he packed his things messily. He fist-bumped and high-fived his buddies, Sweden and Spain before leaving with New Zealand.

"What's wrong, kiwi?" Australia asked as he dropped by his locker to grab his jacket and other books.

"Uhm...America's in the hospital." Kiwi voiced out nervously.

"What!? Holy crap, c'mon kiwi we gotta go." Australia haphazardly grabbed his books and jacket and speed-walked down to the first floor where he supposed their dad would be picking them up.

"Dad and Mom are in the driveway," Kiwi informed and Australia nodded as he took a left to the school driveway.

Canada sighed as he sat in a plastic chair next to America's bed. The freedom country was currently unconscious and was loaded up with suppressants and painkillers. At least that's what the nurse said. Even though he was supposedly on a high dosage of painkillers, America would occasionally whimper or groan in pain.

The doctor had other news too but wanted to wait for their parents to come. Canada just hoped his little brother was alright. He hated seeing him like this.

He closed his eyes to take a rest when the door slammed open and loud footsteps were heard. Canada's shoulders jumped in fright as he prepared to stand up only for the curtains around America's bed to swish open and reveal the rest of the family.

They looked to Canada and then America on the hospital bed.

Almost immediately, New Zealand rushed to hug Canada. Canada returned the gesture while talking to Britain and Australia about America's condition.

"How's he doing?"

"Doctor said he was unconscious, they're giving him suppressants and painkillers. I'm not sure what they're for though. He refused to tell me why, WHO insisted on waiting until you and mom got here." just as Canada finished, WHO pulled the curtain back to find the entire family grieving over America.

"You know he's not dead." WHO joked slightly, trying to ease the tense atmosphere.

Britain jumped up, "you had something to say to me?"

"Ah yes, follow me, it would be best for France and Canada to do so too." WHO grimaces as Britain reminded him about America's state.

Australia pulled new Zealand into a tight hug as they watched their parents and Canada follow WHO.

The organisation led the three nervous countries to his office which was pretty nearby. Once he entered, he invited them to take a seat in the much more comfortable and cushioned chairs.

"Regarding America's condition, he's doing fine. His life is not in danger. However, the coast isn't clear yet."

Britain nodded as he gripped his hands together harshly.

"Let me clarify, America was identified as a beta around 2 years ago, is that correct."

Britain simply nodded again. Canada bit his lips.

"I hate to tell you this but what he may be an omega now."

Canada felt his heart drop to the pits of his stomach.

Britain seemed to be frozen in his chair.

France had tears threatening to spill from the corners of her eyes.
