I slowly walked in-tune to the security guards, that surrounded Teresa and I. We'd give each other awkward glances, then look in another direction. Where were they taking us. The moment we escaped the maze, a lot had happened. Chuck took a knife for Thomas, Gally went crazy. Well I have to admit, Gally's always crazy, except this time didn't count, this time he was stung. "Where are we going?" I mouthed to Teresa. She shrugged. Rooms buzzed pass us. People in white coats, talking in groups, huddled in groups, discussing things, their mouths flapping up and down. Doors sped past us, until we stopped at a door, that rather took me by surprise. On the door, a plaque hung on it, bearing the words 'Teresa Agnes Subject A1 The Traitor' Our eyes met again. She just stared at me out of fear. Before she could say anything, one of the security men opened the door, another one shoved her in. "Stay in here until you are spoken to!" Said one.
"But what about me?" I asked. They ignored me, closed the door and pushed me further down the corridor. There was another door reading the words "Y/F/N Subject A11 The Bridge." I stared at the words bridge with a puzzled look on my face. The same thing happened again. The door opened, and the shoved me in, saying "Stay in here until you are spoken to!" Said the same one. I opened my mouth about to say something in return, only to get a door slamming in my face. 'Rude.' I mumble under my breath, as I walked towards a bed, with blue bed sheets. The mattress was comfy, giving my back the luxury it needed, I knew this time, I could relax, but for how long though?
*A Few Moments Later*
I sat there, laying down, staring at the ceiling. Wondering what the others would be doing now. I paced up and down the room. Waiting for someone to come. Nothing. Placing my head at the door, I waited. Wanting to hear any movement. Nothing. Until, faint footsteps were heard from down the corridor. I stood up strait, adjusting my green tank top and denim blue shorts. The foot steps didn't stop. The person just walked passed my door. Out of impenitence, I opened the door. Down the corridor, some boy was slowly tip-toeing. He had gold hair, was skinny and lanky. From behind I couldn't tell, but I immediately thought it was someone from the glade. Excitement exploded in my stomach, as I crept up behind the person, following him to wherever the hell he was going. My hand slowly rising to his shoulder. My fingertips touching the soft cotton shirt he was wearing. The guy jumped, turning to look at me. The excitement in my stomach deflated into curiosity. "You're not from the glade." I blurted out. The guy looked confusingly up at me, his hand rubbing his shoulder in surprise. "What do you mean, of course I am!" He cried. "Don't scare a person like that, you nearly made me klunk myself." I held in a laugh, imagining the guy klunking himself. "What's your name?" I asked.
"Why do you care?" He asked? I placed a hand in my pocket, pretending to have a gun. "Because, I can kill you on the spot, now tell me. WHO.ARE.YOU." The guy opened his mouth, about to answer, until footsteps where heard from the end for the corridor, I grasped the guy's arm, his brown eyes in contact with mine. "Come." I hissed at him. Pulling him to my room, closing the door behind me. "Now tell me who are you?" I asked him again.
"What?" I gave him death stare, god this kid was taking time! "A-Aris Jones" He said. Placing his hand out. "Y/F/N." I said, shaking his hand. "You said klunk, how do- where do you come from?"I asked.
"You, won't believe me if I told you." Aris replied. I smiled, "Try me." Aris took a deep breath. "I woke up, in a cage, it was rising, then stopped. It opened, all these girls, staring at me, A letter was in my pocked 'He's the last one ever' It said, apparently I was in a place called-
"The Galde." I mumbled. Aris slowly approached me. "Well- yes. Surrounded by a maze." Took us a while to realise the maze was a code, we escaped but." Aris started to tear up, I walked towards him, placing and arm on his shoulder. "They killed her." He whispered. A tear slowly rolling down his cheek. "Who?" I breathed. He looked up at me. "My friend, Rachel, they killed her, and placed me here, separate from the other girls."
"OTHER GIRLS!?" I said surprised. Just imagine Minho when he finds out about this. "Wait you were in a maze full of girls!" He nods like it was no big deal. "I was in a maze full of boys." Aris looked up, with a raised eyebrow. "Well there was one other girl who came with a note like your's." I told Aris.
"Do you know where she is?" Aris asked. I nod. Aris opens the door, wiping the back of his plams on his cheeks. "Let's go then, I have a feeling something might happen to them, them we can see your stick and my sticks." I raised an eyebrow at him. "Sticks?"
"Means friend or fellow."
"Oh in our glade we say Shanks." I told him, on the way to Teresa's room. Something was odd when I arrived. The door was slightly open. "Teresa." I whispered, poking my head in her room. "She's not here!" I told Aris, holding back tears. I walked towards her bed, taking off the covers, "TERESA!" I screamed. "TERESA!" My knees buckled, slowly, I fell towards the ground, crying. Aris placed an arm around me. "It's ok." He said. Hugging me. His cold breath sending shivers down my spine. He placed his fore-head on mine. "Listen to me, Y/N, It.Will.Be.Ok." He said. I buried my head in his shoulder. His hand stroking my hair. We jumped apart when we heard a bang at the door. "TERESA! TERESA!" Yelled a familiar voice, I shivered out of recognition, it was Thomas.
