SELENA HAD BEEN CALLED TO THE throne room and she was hoping that Rhaegar would be discussing his plans to send her home. She was in a rather good mood the entire walk there. That mood was completely ruined when she saw Daenerys also standing in the throne room.

"Ah Selena," Rhaegar said standing from the Iron Throne, "Glad you're here."

"Where are your ladies?" Daenerys asks, "You all seem so attached at the hip."

"You sound jealous," Selena says as she walks closer to the throne, "Don't worry Daenerys, I'm sure you'll make friends someday."

"That's enough you two," Rhaegar tells them and Selena rolls her eyes as she moves her gaze from Daenerys to Rhaegar, "Today I was supposed to make an appearance with the common people, but something has come up and I'm sending Daenerys in my place."

"Congratulations," Selena tells Daenerys, "Finally making yourself useful I see."

"You'll be accompanying her," Rhaegar says and Selena's face falls immediately.

"I'm sorry, why me?" Selena says, "I'm not a member of the royal family and it isn't like I can protect the Princess."

"It's simply to keep her company," Rhaegar says with a sigh, "Trust me, I'd prefer to send Rhaenys, but we're having lunch with the Tyrells to discuss engagements."

"Plural?" Selena asks, "Are you going to allow Rhaenys and Willas to marry?"

If Rhaegar was planning to allow Rhaenys and Willas to marry, then that meant that he hadn't gone back on his promise to Rhaenys and he was going to allow her to marry whoever she wanted. That would also be awful because what was he going to do with Jon?

"I haven't made a decision yet," Rhaegar told her, "Now the two of you will be visiting the Sept as well as serving food to the common people."

"The Sept?" Daenerys asks the question on Selena's tongue, "Why?"

"To speak with the High Septon," Rhaegar waves it off, "It isn't anything too serious."

Selena raises an eyebrow at that and merely shrugs, "When do we set out?"

"Now," Rhaegar tells them with a smile, "Ser Jaime is waiting for the two of you with horses at the stables."

Selena and Daenerys head out of the throne room and walk through the halls of the Red Keep to the exit.

"Don't you have some ladies that you could be doing this with?" Selena asks, breaking the silence between them.

"No," Daenerys answers, "Well yes, but they don't like me very much."

Selena can't help but laugh at that, "Then get new ladies. You're a princess, Daenerys. Besides, I don't like you very much either."

"I know," Daenerys says, "With you, I know what to expect. Everyone else, they'll smile to my face and talk behind my back because I'm the King's sister. They're scared of him. Scared of me."
