Wisley suddenly gasped, hoping to inhale some well-needed air, but what he got was the putrid smell of death, one much like a decaying body of an animal. His eyes were wide open, gazing directly at the sky that was pitch dark.
The clouds were hanging like blankets, hiding the beauty of the stars away and instead sending halls of rain onto the earth. Every droplet of rain would splash onto the pavement like fire making contact with skin, every time harder and fiercer than the last.
Poor Wisley tried to move his body, but only it did not obey his wishes. Every time he made any movement to get up, his chest would grow tight, making him feel an enormous pressure of heaviness that would compress his airways.
Therefore, his figure was left glued on the cold, wet pavement. Staring helplessly into the void sky, leaving the rain to fall on him.
Suddenly, the gloomy sky started to blacken, removing the only source of light coming from the moon as the rain grows heavier and darker in colour.
The droplets were thick and black, batting the pavement with its harsh pressure. A pressure so great that it made the floor crack and slowly turned the grey pavement into a black void, symmetrical to the sky.
The sky and the ground reflected each other so greatly that Wisley himself wasn't sure which one was which anymore.
But that was the least of his worries. Before the poor boy could even blink or calm his thundering heart and body from the fear he was feeling, a splatter fell to his right, denting the ground, making his body move to the side as Wisley was left screaming with his eyes tightly shield.
"Wisley...?"
By hearing a voice, he promptly opened his eyes, coming into contact with a body, one of a female who was laying onto the ground.
Wisley couldn't utter any sentences, whether it was because he was scared ore surprised it didn't matter, because his vision had found a body that was showing no ounce of life.
The body lying in front of the boy was of a female his age with dark long hair. Her figure was unmoving, seeming to be more dead than alive. But there was something about her that made Wisley sick to his stomach.
Just when the fearful boy was about to say something, the voice screamed his name again. It wasn't soft and sweet like the first. This one was demanding, it was dark and low. Wisley didn't know if he was still breathing because his body felt as if a bucket of ice was thrown on him.
Everything stilled, even the rain had stopped falling, and even his heart was quiet. He knew that it came directly from the lifeless girl, but only what was strange was that her mouth did not move, nothing did.
But suddenly, before Wisley could think, the girl's eyes sprinted alive and she was staring right into his eyes.
Wisley gasped out, harshly inhaling and choking on air as his body moved forward, only to find himself in Mitchel's car, his dad that was by now calling his name while holding his son's shoulder with a perturbed look on his face.
"Wisley, Jesus boy. Called you a thousand times," his father yelled, removing his hand to pull the key out and opening the driver's door. "go ahead, I'll grab your luggage; you can handle taking the backpack right?"
Mitchel made a single movement with his head towards the bag next to his son's feet, but Wisley did not make any action to move or to even answer his father, he was just staring straight ahead with empty eyes though his mind was very much chaotic.
He flinched when his father made contact with his hand, stopping Wisley's mind from going any deeper into the endless thoughts of the dream he had. "yeah yeah, I'll get it," the boy finally answered, looking at his father.
