I packed my overnight bag and waited for him to text me he was outside. I turn on the news and saw that dumbass president talking about this virus that's spreading throughout the country. A lot of people are panicking over some shit that's not even real.
The government just wants to control us and our minds to make believe that something is there when it isn't. The president is doing something behind closed doors, but we're too dumb to notice the shit.
We over here fighting over toilet paper and fucking masks. If you wear the masks, obviously nothing can come in or out! So, if you did have this "deadly virus" inside you, you're just suffocating yourself. But don't listen to me, continue to kill yourselves, and the government will still be laughing at your ass.
2:30am I got my text to come outside. Time to see what this nigga is really about. I grabbed my bag and my purse and made sure my Mary was inside it. Can't trust everybody these damn days. As I was walking out the front door mother was coming out her room heading to the kitchen.
She says to me "I hope that nigga your fucking around with, lets you live with him permanently. As of today, I will be changing the locks".
"Whatever Elizabeth, make sure you douche your stank ass out. I can smell you from here".
Then I slammed the door.
I was surprised that he was driving a nice black Chevy Corvette, with black and lime green rims. Being a chef must be paying well.
Deontay was standing outside the car on the passenger side with the door open.
"Trying to impress much?" I asked him.
He just chuckles. "Nah, just treating you like you deserve queen".
I blushed. Thankfully he couldn't see it because it was dark.
I hopped in the car and he closes the door behind me. He puts my overnight bag in the trunk, and I kept my purse in the front with me. His car had a nice Hawaiian scent to it. At least it wasn't musky like most people cars be. Smelling like cigarettes and old stale ass bread. He gets in the car and adjusted the temperature. It was warm but not overbearing.
"You wanna use the AUX cord?" he asked me.
"Nope I wanna see what kind of music you be listening too" I said.
He laughs.
"Alright, your music is probably trash anyways" he teases me.
"Boy I listen to Nicki Minaj and Cardi B. Classic, elegant ladies. You probably listen to that old 80s shit".
He laughs again.
"Nah, I listen to real R&B" he said. Differences by Ginuwine starts playing on the radio.
Okay so this nigga has some kind of class. I don't know why but the atmosphere starts to change, and I felt a calm vibe come over me. Maybe he's not as bad as I thought. Maybe he really wants to get to know me. But will I make a relationship out of it? Probably not. But if he plays his cards just right, I might reconsider. We back out the driveway and headed to Black Velvet city.
