And the fight between them began.

The two had thrown different attacks at each other; some had successfully hit them, some were blocked, and some missed. The chief would try to strike at his leg, but to no avail. Mark would raise a kick, but still to no avail.

The two were great combatants, considering that Mark used to be one of the Elites, and Chief Jung wasn't promoted as chief for nothing.

Mark had placed his gun back to the holster on his waistband after taking a few shots earlier. He had it counted before and saved the last one to use once he gets a good aim.

He couldn't waste anymore bullets during missions. Last night didn't end quite well for him.

"How are you, Mark?" The chief even managed to taunt him amidst the fight. Mark had swung a punch at him but missed. The chief took this as a chance to point the gun on his face before Mark could make a move. "Are you not tired of trying to avenge Yeri?"

This made Mark grit his teeth furiously, swiftly pushing Chief Jung's arm to the side just as he pulled the trigger. He didn't even flinch at the shot and proceeded to move it back, pulling it down as he raised a knee to hit it. "Don't you dare call her name."

The chief still had his fingers wrapped around the gun tightly to Mark's dismay.

"But isn't this why you're doing this?" He laughed it off, grabbing Mark by his hair and pulled him away. Once he got his arm free from Mark's grasp, he aimed back at him. "Unless you have another reason."

Instead of responding, Mark quickly did a spin. He extended his leg out, aiming for the gun, and knocked it off of him. It went flying before hitting the concrete floor with a clatter, sliding further as it spinned.

Mark felt triumph when he got rid of the weapon, slightly smirking. Now, all he needed to do was to take him down.

His right fist moved fast to punch him, but the chief saw this and avoided it. He threw the next punch with mere seconds interval, but still missed. Damn it.

"Oh, I know." Seeing Mark's extended arm, Chief Jung quickly grabbed it and spun him around before letting him go, causing Mark's back to hit against the car's side. The latter grunted in pain, squinting his eyes close. "You're also doing this for her, aren't you?"

If this keeps up, the chief might win.

Just as Mark completely opened his eyes, Chief Jung's black, leather shoes was already moving close to his face. He immediately ducked, letting it hit the car instead. The chief only clenched his jaw at this as he pulled his leg back.

He still had it in him. After all, Mark was an ex-Elites member. A member of the batch that got trained well. A member of the batch he had underestimated as a threat.

As he was doing this, Mark straightened up and grabbed his leg. He tried twisting it to make him spin or even lose his balance, but Chief Jung managed to maintain his stand on the concrete floor even with just one foot. The X-Force leader couldn't help but grit his teeth, getting a little frustrated by how long this was turning out.

Using the leg Mark was holding unto, Chief Jung forcefully flicked it, hitting Mark's chest before he loosened his hold around it. Freeing himself, he brought it back down and swung his fist, expecting to hit his jaw since it would be impossible to miss.
