*Ari's dress up ahead*
Ariana
As I stepped through the door into my room, I found my hairstylists and makeup artists already buzzing around. They had taken over my bedroom, setting up their tools, blow dryers, and makeup kits. Amidst the organized chaos, Lucy was there, ensuring that my dress remained untouched, preserving its sparkly fabric.
"Hey, Ariana! You made it. Come on, let's get you ready – makeup, hair, the whole deal," Lucy ushered me into the bathroom, and I promptly followed her lead.
I showered, tended to my hair and legs, and when I was finished, I wrapped myself in a bathrobe and returned to my room. Someone swiftly guided me to the vanity seat as the hair experts worked their magic on my locks. Simultaneously, the makeup artists began their work, and Lucy orchestrated the entire process, making sure everything met her high standards.
Though the clock read 7 p.m., I knew the dance had already started. However, I had a preference for arriving fashionably late to such events.
Once the finishing touches were in place, Lucy took me by the hand and led me away before I could catch a glimpse of myself in the mirror. She handed me my dress and directed me back to the bathroom to put it on.
I refrained from sneaking a peek at the mirror this time, simply donning the dress and waiting to fully appreciate it once everything was complete.
After a bit of adjustment and a thorough visual check to ensure no mishaps, I emerged from the bathroom. The reaction in the room was an audible gasp, and I returned their surprise with a grateful smile. I turned, giving them the full view.
"How do I look?" I playfully asked Lucy.
"See for yourself." With a gentle touch, she directed me towards the full-length mirror. Taking a deep breath, I locked eyes with the reflection before me.
The burgundy dress embraced my form elegantly, accentuating my curves with its mermaid neckline. The thin spaghetti straps crisscrossed at the back, lending a stylish touch, while a side slit added a hint of allure. My hair cascaded in bronze-toned curls, some framing my face and shoulders.
My makeup struck the balance between flawless and enchanting, showcasing my natural beauty. This was the real me, unmasked and confident, without the heavy and bold makeup that might have altered my genuine charm.
"Well?" Lucy inquired beside me, and I grinned, pulling her into a grateful hug.
"Thank you, Luce. And thanks, everyone!" Their dismissive waves of acknowledgment warmed my heart. I clung to Lucy's arm, slipping into black stilettos.
"Ready?" Lucy glanced at me, and I nodded with a smile.
"Absolutely. Let's do this."

I stepped out of the limo and glanced ahead at the group of students gathered at the school entrance. Then I walked into the gym where the dance was happening.
My dress flowed in waves behind me, and I worried a bit about tripping over it and making a scene.
Students began arriving, stepping out of their cars and fancy rides, all decked out in nice dresses and tuxedos, with their dates by their sides.
Looks like I'm the only one flying solo tonight.
I made my way to the main entrance, feeling everyone's eyes on me. I put on a brave face and walked in.
Just remember, Ariana, be yourself tonight.
But the confident front faded as nervousness rushed back, and I quickened my pace towards the gym.
