Chapter 1

"Lihuaaa!"

The hairs on my arms stood up at the bellowing screech that suddenly ripped through my delicate ears. I looked around for the source, finally spotting a thin girl sprinting through the mass of people speed-walking individuals in the airport, her manager and bodyguards comically running after her with no luck in actually catching her. I could only bite back a huge grin when I saw the beautiful girl trotting my way with the sweetest smile on her face as well. I threw my arms open and she quickly koala hugged me, legs wrapped around my waist and everything.

Everyone around us looked on us in curiosity, but we could care less, too enveloped in the warm hug.

"Lihua, I am soo happy to see you!" The Thai girl said in English, our shared language, before fluffing up my already messy hair.

Feeling extremely giddy, I pinched at the taller females cheek, "Aww, I've missed you too, Lili! Let me treat you for food!"

"Aww what a good donsaeng, but I will pay as I am older than you."

I pouted, but obliged. It might be surprising, but yes, I am younger than Lisa Manoban. She was only older than me by a year. It was weird, because she was the one always pouting and whining, but I didn't mind. She's an absolute gem and I truly wished that the land mass between us would magically shrink.

"Are you excited, Lisa? I want to show you so much around here... but we have no time..."

She lightly patted my head, "yah, at least we get to spend time with one another. We are going to be rooming with one another, right?"

"I haven't even thought about that yet, but I assume so? I live nowhere near the filming site, so I guess so. As you can tell my manager literally does not tell me anything."

"Yah, I heard that."

Lisa and I looked behind us to see my manager frowning at me. We looked back in front of us and silently giggled together.

"That's fine, you better pack, though. Can I stay at your place for the night?"

"Of course! We can have a little girls night before our filming."

Lisa and I ran off with our managers, sighing at our shenanigans.

"Lihua."

I looked over to Lisa who was lounging on my bed as I was throwing together clothes and all of the other necessities. She was staring down at her phone.

"What's up, Lili?"

She waved me over and I plopped next to her on my belly, emitting a little 'oof,' "You were told about who was in the mentor crew, right?"

I nodded, peering at what she was looking at so intensely on her phone.

"I was looking up Cai Xukun, our fellow mentor, and he's pretty cute!"

She flashed a photo at me and I could only blush lightly, "Yeah, he's pretty good looking, I guess."

She started wiggling her eyebrows my way, implying something that had me nervously swatting her encroaching face, "Yahh, you two are better suited for one another, though!"

She tsked me and scrolled through more photos, "I... I might have a guy back in Korea..."

I processed what she said, blanking for a couple seconds, "wait.. WHAT?"

I stared Lisa down maliciously and she smiled back at me sheepishly. I quickly tackled her into my bed and hugged her.

"Who is he?!"
