Chapter 2

Hello! Author speaking, just so you know, I don't follow this show closely, so this will be far from accurate probably. Regarding performances, groups, and the girls, I am not super knowledgable. This story is more about the mentors, so I won't be focusing on the actual show part too much if that makes sense.

Lisa and I arrived on the film set at the crack of dawn. Lisa looked ready to walk down a catwalk while my hair was coiffed to which I looked like I had a lions mane, not to forget about the eye crusties taking refuge in my eyes. I laughed about my appearance when we were sat down in the dressing room getting our hair and makeup done. Lisa peered over at me, looking like she was about to admit me into a mental institution.

"You ok, Lihua? Why are you laughing like an insane woman over there?"

I took one more look in the mirror, "Just admiring how hot you look in the morning~"

"yAH!" She yelped, fortunately being far enough away from me so that I didn't have to receive an arm slap or something.

Just then a silence fell over the buzzing room. Lisa and I gave each other a confused look, then looked over to see just who had that effect.

A blush rose to my cheeks, it was him...

I saw Lisa look my way with a devious smile out of the corner of my eye, but I chose to ignore it as I continued to watch Cai Xukun move around the room. A lot of the production ladies were staring at him while they were continuing with their work. He was just THAT handsome.

He walked over to Lisa, "Hello, my name is Cai Xukun. You must be mentor Lisa?" He bowed gently to the girl. I saw her give a bright smile back, friendly as always, "Yes, nice to meet you, XuKun!"

Xukun then made his way over to me, but I could immediately sense the difference in his demeanor. The sweet smile that once adorned his handsome face quickly slipped away into a simply, formal smile.

"Hello, you're mentor Lihua, right?" My smile faltered. He stood by me with a professional look, and I could definitely say that I was mildly disappointed by his attitude towards me. I don't wish for him to fall in love with me, but I do wish that he would treat me like he did to everyone else, or in this case, like Lisa.

"Yes I am." We both slightly bowed to one another, then Xukun briskly walked out of the room to no doubt get changed privately.

I looked down to my hands while the hairdresser continued on my hair. And once again, I saw Lisa out of the corner of my eye, but this time, her face was plagued with concern.

I breathed a sigh of relief, we finally finished filming for the first day and we were returning to the dorms where all the girls were staying. The mentors went to their respective rooms, retiring after a lengthy day.

Ella had her own room while I shared a room with Lisa, Jony J and Xukun shared a different one. Ella did admit, though, that she would be going home a majority of the time, as she had her children to take care of.

"How'd you think of the first day?" Lisa said as she tiredly flopped onto her bed.

I was looking at the glowing city lights from the window of our room, "I thought it went smoothly, but I can't stop thinking about your sexy performance. You literally had everyone screaming their heads off." I smirked at Lisa and she scoffed, but smiled nonetheless.

"You say that like they didn't do the same for you. Yours was so classy and elegant." While Lisa's dance performance was strong, powerful, and sexy, I performed more of a slow, sensual song, while I sang. (If you want a reference, I was thinking along the lines of Red Velvet's Be Natural with the chair dance.)
