Eighteen days into September the worst thing imaginable happened. My first date with Jacob one month ago, since then our relationship has escalated, he was there for me when I went to my first checkup since the surgery, and he has been very motivational through this whole thing.
But on September eighteenth my world was turned upside down.
I jumped out of my mom's car and raced to the beginning of the stairs, my meeting place for Jacob. When I got there I was greeted with an empty space. This was very unusual, Jacob was never late. Aimlessly I wandered up the stairs and into the school. After a few minutes of walking I heard Jacobs voice in the distance with another rather feminine voice.
"Are you sure we won't be caught," the feminine voice giggled.
" Don't worry babe, right now it's just you and me" Jacob growled in a sexy tone. I can hear them kissing. This is enough, I must stop them. I slowly sneaked over to where the voices originated.
" Jacob," I say in my damsel in distress voice.
"Hey Em, what are you doing here," he said startled.
" The question is what are you doing here," I said getting my sassy on.
"Umm.." he starts.
" Don't even start. I heard what you said, I thought you loved me. We were supposed to be together forever," my voice cracking as I began to cry.
" You see I was paid to do this, my father is a physiologist who works with cancer patients like you, and he knows your doctor and they came up with a plan. They believed if you had love you would recover faster. So my father convinced me to date you. But the thing is Hun, I don't like you at all." he said maliciously.
" You know what I don't need you to be strong," I said with defiance, but I realized something " mater of fact I don't need any boy, or love to be strong. You don't have to lean on a prince to become queen." I heard clapping and made the assumption that people had heard my speech. They liked it, they believed in it. It felt good, man it felt good.
