Ch. 30 Food, Wine, and Surprises

Remus do you want to have dinner with me tonight just us?" Dominick said looking down as he did not want Remus to see the mischief in his eyes. Dominick pulled all his emotions behind his barriers then looked up and only showed hope and apprehension in his eyes. He topped it off by pulling the puppy dog eyes that made even Fenrir cave in to his pleading.

"You don't need to take that face with me cub; of course I will have dinner with you." Remus said with a soft smile which turned to a look of surprise as Dominick pulled out a present. "Cub, you didn't have to get me anything..." Remus said but snapped his mouth shut at the look that Dominick gave him and blushed.

"Go get dressed and meet me back down here in 20 minutes. I have a surprise for you at the restaurant." Dominick said leaving no room for argument. He turned Remus grabbed his shoulders, turned him around, and gave him a small push in the direction of the stairs. While Dominick waited for Remus he decided to check on Sirius. He moved down the hall off the first flight of stairs and went to the second door on the right. He knocked on the door and called out letting the person inside know that it was him.

"How do you feel? Are you ready?"Dominick said looking at the newly made man. He was dressed in black fitted robes with a forest-green trim and tie. Dominick then gave him a big hug and wished him good luck. The man apparited as Dominick left the room to wait for Remus.

After waiting for fifteen minutes Dominick saw Remus coming down the stairs in his new robes. They looked good on him and even fit well. He was in form fitting black pants and a dark blue silk button-up shirt. Remus had it buttoned all the way to the top of his throat. Dominick sighed and walked to Remus and reached out and unbuttoned the top two buttons and then gave him a long overcoat. Remus grumbled something about annoying obsessive children, but proceeded to follow Dominick. Dominick then grabbed Remus by the hand and apparited to the restaurant called The Hunt, to which Remus let out a sob laugh.

"Sirius Used to bring me here. He and I would talk for hours in the back booth and share cheesecake." Remus said his eyes getting misty and his voice breaking.

"We still can my love." A voice behind them said. Remus stopped in his tracks frozen, not daring to hope that that voice belonged to who it sounded like. Remus sobbed as he turned around and saw Sirius standing there in robes and a moon flower in hand. Remus looked at Dominick and let out a watery laugh.

"This was your surprise. Thank you" Remus said pulling Dominick in for a hug then moving to Sirius and taking the flower in one hand and wrapping the other around the back of his neck and bringing it down to kiss him like the world depended on it.

"I will leave it to you Sirius." Dominick said appariteing back to Malfoy Manor and making his way to his Tom.
