Ch.29 Dangerous Vulnerability

Dominick pulled Sirius up onto his weak legs and helped him off of the platform of the vale and out of the Department of Mysteries.

"We need to get you fed." Dominick said as someone ran to them seeing how weak Sirius was.

"Is he okay? Does he need a healer?" A ministry employee said looking truly worried. She fussed over Sirius and helped us get out of the ministry.

"This man fell out of the vale while Madam Umbridge was showing me the department. She started screeching about it being impossible. That he was guilty. She didn't see the step behind her and she fell into the vale! I couldn't stop her."Dominick said working his body into a fake panic with tears and short breaths. She rubbed his back in sympathy and with the promise that Dominick and he would go to a healer, she let us go. Dominick saw her rush back into the ministry, no doubt to tell the minister that Sirius Black fell out of the Vale, which showed that he was innocent.

Dominick apparited to Malfoy Manor and brought Sirius to Narcissa. She rushed to his side and helped him get to a room. Narcissa started doing spells to check his physical health.

"He has a broken rib and is malnourished. That being said, How in Merlin's name did he survive on so little magic?! He has 50% of his core blocked and a few potions in his system." She huffed and said that once he is back on his feet that he will have to go to the Goblins. I have a spell that is borderline Dark and has to have a blood sacrifice such as an animal. It will heal his body immediately but he will go into a healing coma for 48 hours." She said looking at Dominick as Sirius was asleep.

"Do it. He needs the rest. I want him to be able to see his mate while he is healthy and not as sickly as this. What animal do you want to sacrifice? I want this done tonight." Dominick said looking at Narcissa expectantly. She looked at him and told him that a small animal would do like a rat or rabbit. Dominick nodded and with one more glance at the sleeping form of Sirius Black, he turned to get the supplies for the ritual.

Later that night

Narcissa had drawn the pentagram and lit the candles paying homage to the spirits as was their right. She began to chant:

"super astra

sub terra

Ne salutem hominis haec germinentur

Et ossa sit paro

Et sanitas reset

vita restaurata

and Bond reformatur,

Et dabit vitam

in commutationem pro salute

Et divitiis System

Sic fiat!"

As she finished chanting she slit the throat of the rabbit Dominic caught for her. She let her magic flow out and encompasses the body of Sirius Black. She let Hecate guide her magic to put Sirius into a healing coma.

"Now all we need to do is keep this out of the press for two days. I don't want Remus to know that his mate is out of the vale until he is healthy again." Dominick said looking at Narcissa hoping she understood his reasons. She nodded her head and said she would keep an eye on him.

Dominick had a hard time, for the next two days, seeing Remus struggle without Sirius and almost told him but a look from Narcissa reminded him of his reasons for staying quiet. When Sirius woke he was disoriented. Narcissa explained what they had done and Sirius hugged Dominick and told him that he was upset but he understood and was thankful that Remus did not see him like that.
