Chapter 9

T: I want you now

Tessa's Pov
He looks down at my lips and back up to my eyes.
Our lips crash, his hands grab under my thighs and he lifts me up and sits me on the hood of the car, I take his shirt off and start kissing his neck and he groans.
He throws my shirt off and i feel uncomfortable as Molly's words creep back into my head
H: are you alright? do you want to stop
T: no! i just, im not exactly comfortable with my body
His eyes trail my body which makes me even more insecure
H: your joking right? Tessa you are perfect, you hear me? You have such natural beauty, and the perfect body. dont let anyone, not even yourself tell you otherwise, okay?
I smile and nod not completely believing him but his words touch me making me feel a lot more comfortable with him
T: do you have a-
before i could ask my question he reaches in his back pocket and pulls out a condom
T: well i see you came prepared *laughs*
H: I always am. *smiles*
I kiss him and slide his pants off and he trails his kisses down my neck and to my breasts, he slides my sweatpants off
H: are you sure, we dont have to
T: yes, Hardin im sure *smiles*, I mean unless.. y'know you dont want to?
H: dont be ridiculous, ive been wanting this.
I dont say anything and hop off the car and grab his hand leading him to the backseat
T: I want this okay? *grabs his face*
I kiss him on the lips and slide my underwear off and he does the same, he slips the condom on while i watch his movements.
I feel him ease inside of me and at first its a little uncomfortable getting used to his length then pleasure immediately takes over

H: are you comfortable?
T: yeah, im not a virgin y'know *giggles*
H: i know i just want you to enjoy this
I smile at his thoughtfulness and it makes me want him more
T: this *moans* is perfect
He kisses my neck and i throw my head back in pleasure and his hands roam my back unclipping my bra

That night was one of the best nights ive had in a while, I felt different, I felt happy

I wake up to the feeling of the warm sun on my face, I open my eyes and take in my surroundings I look down and see Hardin wrapped around my naked body, I smile at the sight

I sit up carefully and grab my phone from the passenger seat
5 missed calls from Mom
3 unread messages from Mom
shit
I read the messages

I woke up this morning and you weren't here, are you alright?         5:03

Tessa im a little worried can you please call.                                                     5:24

Tessa answer me.

Shit. I check the time and its nearly 8
I immediately text her that im okay and that ill be home in an hour
How could you be so stupid Tessa shes sick and you go out for the night to have sex, real nice, gah im so selfish

I grab my bra and slip it on and whisper to Hardin and shake him slightly
T: hey *shakes* wakeup
He opens his eyes and smiles at me and hugs my waist tighter
T: we gotta go my mom has been texting me all morning.
His eyes widen
T: dont worry i texted her im alright and that ill be home in about an hour
I say trying to ease the mood
H: will she be pissed?
He asks getting up and i quickly slip my underwear on handing him his
T: i honestly dont know at this point, Before her diagnosis she would've told me to not even bother coming back, but now.. she cares
I think about how shes changed after finding out the unfortunate news of her disease.

I step out of the backseat and pick up our shirts and pants that we left out here last night, I throw my shirt and sweatpants on after i throw Hardin his clothes.
H: you ready?
T: yeah
We hop in the car and head back home.

On the drive there Hardin rests his hand on my thigh and i rest my hand on top of his
T: I had a great time last night
I look over to him and smile and he looks back at me
H: I had a great time too. Im just glad you dont regret anything
T: are you kidding? i havent been that happy in a long time
I squeeze his hand.

We arrive at my house
T: its probably better if i deal with her on my own *smiles*
H: alright, text me how things go
I kiss him
T: will do
I step out of the car, and again Hardin doesn't pull off until im in the house
T: Mom? im home
I walk into the living room to see the recliner shes normally in empty.
I make my way to the kitchen and its empty aswell
T: mom?
I walk down the hall and into her room
I hear a noise in the closet
T: mom?
I walk over to the closet and open it to see my mom sitting on the closet floor shaking
C: please dont hurt me my purse is on the night stand take what you want.
Her head was inbetween her legs
T: what are you talking about? Mom its me, Tessa your daughter
She lifts her head and i see the tears on her face, she gives me a confused look
C: daughter?
I feel my heart shatter
T: yes mom im your daughter, okay?
I grab her hand in attempt to help her up but she yanks her hand away from me
T: no..no, mom its me Tessa, your kid, remember me? look you just texted me this morning
I reach in my pocket and grab my phone to show her the texts
T: see?
C: oh- *sighs* I just heard the door open and shut and i panicked and got in the closet, why are your clothes so dirty? Go hop in the shower sweetie ill make some breakfast.
She gets up and walks to the kitchen.
Its like a switch in her head went off.
I feel a single tear slip from my eye and my heart is still beating fast

I walk to the kitchen, and shes just making eggs and bacon
I sigh and head to the bathroom to take a shower like she told me to.
Im standing in the shower letting the warm water fall on my back while i think about everything that has happened in the past 12 hours

I hop out of the shower, and get dressed
her outfit

and she has on a pair of black short shorts

*bzz* *bzz*
I check my phone and see i got a message from Hardin
How did it go?
lets just say she wasnt mad
thats a good thing right?
trust me, I wouldve rather have seen her mad
what happened?
Its a lot to explain, can you come over? It can be later if you need, I know we just saw eachother

Im so glad he didn't wait till later, I could really use someone right now and im glad it could be him
